It has... Until the 1930's the Senate didn't even hold hearings. A vacancy happened, the Prez nominated someone, the Senate rubber stamped it. @realz

2020-11-27 05:13:09 UTC

The senate could always just reject an unqualified candidate on such grounds

2020-11-27 05:13:13 UTC

So this acb with the little experience she has could just be a mouth piece for whatever donors got her there

2020-11-27 05:13:35 UTC

AI judges do not work because laws are written by people to be read by people

2020-11-27 05:13:39 UTC

Doesn’t seem like a good pick, why should we expect good “non activist” rulings from her

2020-11-27 05:13:54 UTC

cool

2020-11-27 05:14:39 UTC

at least she espouses a non-activist approach

2020-11-27 05:14:46 UTC

Espouses

2020-11-27 05:14:54 UTC

the opposition _espouses_ activism!

2020-11-27 05:14:54 UTC

I'll remind you prior to ACB the Dems tried to block a very experienced judge on 30 year old allegations

2020-11-27 05:15:11 UTC

Not so Fun fact... The Senate started holding hearing because FDR accidentally nominated a (former) member of the KKK.

2020-11-27 05:15:26 UTC

So I'm not convinced Dems had any principle to their opposition to nominations

2020-11-27 05:15:36 UTC

"accidentally" ?

2020-11-27 05:15:37 UTC

😛

2020-11-27 05:15:54 UTC

the KKK ruins everything

2020-11-27 05:16:01 UTC

Not so fun fact, FDR had concentration camps. I'm not surprised

2020-11-27 05:16:30 UTC

Oh sorry, "internment camps"

2020-11-27 05:17:08 UTC

yea they weren't concentration camps

2020-11-27 05:17:11 UTC

Nobody's perfect... I heard Marilyn Monroe farted in bed.

2020-11-27 05:17:12 UTC

that is being unfair

2020-11-27 05:17:13 UTC

I remember in the hearing she answered a question with “do you think a woman can’t think for herself” in response to who her donors were. It’s very likely with that tiny amount of experience she may very well be just that, How do you develop any real personal experience or “experience based judgment” with only ruling over 100 cases

2020-11-27 05:17:53 UTC

Barnes doesn't like her either

2020-11-27 05:17:58 UTC

he thinks she will turn into a leftist

2020-11-27 05:18:04 UTC

How

2020-11-27 05:18:07 UTC

And why

2020-11-27 05:18:14 UTC

based on some of her judgements he has read

2020-11-27 05:18:23 UTC

go watch Frei if you want to minutia

2020-11-27 05:18:34 UTC

Ugh frei

2020-11-27 05:18:39 UTC

many republican nominees have become the left side of the court

2020-11-27 05:18:39 UTC

R and R is better

2020-11-27 05:18:53 UTC

I was bothered that she kept replying that they should take her at her word because of her integrity - as it that was a given.

2020-11-27 05:18:59 UTC

yea but R&R doesn't know/discuss constitutional law politics as well as Barnes

2020-11-27 05:19:04 UTC

R said he listens to Barnes ...

2020-11-27 05:19:06 UTC

Right @TaLoN132

2020-11-27 05:19:22 UTC

@realz Barnes is too partisan for me

2020-11-27 05:19:41 UTC

partisan or not, he knows whats going on in the constitutional political circles

2020-11-27 05:19:44 UTC

How often do constitution and criminal defense intersect

2020-11-27 05:19:45 UTC

uncivil law and rekita seem okay

2020-11-27 05:19:50 UTC

really lol

2020-11-27 05:19:59 UTC

rekieta is too partisan for _me_!

2020-11-27 05:20:07 UTC

I listen to him when nothing else is on 😛
