E.g: They can cast ballots before the ballots are actually printed in the state.

2020-11-29 14:59:31 UTC

I don’t think that’s the same issue. Absentee military process is understood and constitutional and a small % of the votes. For the executive and judicial branches to amend the law is totally different

2020-11-29 14:59:46 UTC

That’s what I mean.. I wouldn’t want to disenfranchise any overseas voters.. but the mass mail-in did seem like a problem waiting to happen..

2020-11-29 15:00:53 UTC

It is a major problem, forget the constitutionality for a min. The management was inconsistent and poorly done. It’s one thing if they changed the rules and executed well, they changed the rules and it was a shit show.

2020-11-29 15:01:08 UTC

It’s already a major problem I meant

2020-11-29 15:01:26 UTC

Signature match etc, was a crazy idea in my mind 🙈

2020-11-29 15:01:34 UTC

Zulu you were in the military yes?

2020-11-29 15:01:45 UTC

I was.

2020-11-29 15:01:49 UTC

You guys use federal forms to cast ballots overseas, yes?

2020-11-29 15:02:00 UTC

FVAP yes?

2020-11-29 15:02:25 UTC

Well they have to signature match military ballots too the new regs made it less stringent increasing the likelihood of fraud and mistakes

2020-11-29 15:02:25 UTC

@robxtom, you just advanced to level 6!

2020-11-29 15:02:26 UTC

I was never overseas during an election. Lol. Sorry.

2020-11-29 15:03:18 UTC

'92 I was in Ft. Riley

2020-11-29 15:03:22 UTC

New regs made it much harder to invalidate votes creating an incentive to just say fuck it out it thru and they decreased the sensitivity on the machines

2020-11-29 15:03:25 UTC

https://www.fvap.gov/uploads/FVAP/Forms/fpca.pdf Ultimately, this is the general way service members vote who are overseas.

2020-11-29 15:03:45 UTC

Or they can request state ballots when printed.

2020-11-29 15:04:05 UTC

Put it thru*

2020-11-29 15:04:39 UTC

Yeah that’s what I thought. Surely first time voters should vote in person the first time with ID? Kind of common sense 🤷🏼‍♀️

2020-11-29 15:05:38 UTC

Yeah we should know who’s voting and making sure they’re allowed to vote. Blockchain would fix all these issues easily

2020-11-29 15:06:39 UTC

@Beth only a racist would suggest that an ID be required for voting.

2020-11-29 15:06:45 UTC

Hmm ill read it. But didnt the first judge had it go through?

2020-11-29 15:06:50 UTC

We can have the fed issue vote coins for every election that’s tied to your ss#

2020-11-29 15:06:57 UTC

Of course 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

2020-11-29 15:06:57 UTC

@Beth, you just advanced to level 13!

2020-11-29 15:07:00 UTC

What the actual?....

2020-11-29 15:07:08 UTC

He’s joking

2020-11-29 15:07:16 UTC

Republicans have been trying to raise the constitutionality agreement for mail-in ballots for a while, especially while Democrats were invested in trying to make the acceptance procedures of mail in ballots less demanding.

2020-11-29 15:07:38 UTC

> Hmm ill read it. But didnt the first judge had it go through?
@andrasol It could have been on appeal. I don't know.

2020-11-29 15:07:51 UTC

Particularly the matching of signatures.

2020-11-29 15:07:53 UTC

Sorry i see so many here in belgium say that stuff... its hard to discern when som1 is laugjing

2020-11-29 15:08:26 UTC

Nah it was earlier this week. Even halted the cerftification process

2020-11-29 15:08:27 UTC

Wokeism crossing the globe smh

2020-11-29 15:08:35 UTC

Haha I know.. we like a bit of sarcasm here 🙃

2020-11-29 15:08:58 UTC

@andrasol most people aren't smart enough to obtain identification. It is s well-known form of disenfranchisement to require one.

2020-11-29 15:09:16 UTC

@andrasol yeah I don't know the previous rulings on it.

2020-11-29 15:09:25 UTC

According to everyone here i am the epithome of stupidity... so xD

2020-11-29 15:09:34 UTC

My wife and I were when my family and I spent two years overseas as a defense contractor. Still owned property and paid property tax in the state, still paid both federal and state income taxes on income earned, etc. but they took us off the voter registration rolls when I explained that I couldn't serve for jury duty because we were overseas. Told me to try to vote absentee when the elections came around but I could never get them to send me the ballots or at least I never got ballots. An experience like that leaves a really bad, lasting impression with you. I'm all for US citizens that are paying their taxes getting their due representation.

2020-11-29 15:09:39 UTC

Lookin for it

2020-11-29 15:09:53 UTC

@andrasol Absolutely disagree, you seem well-mannered as far as I'm concerned and raise valid points.
