and at its worst, it hit many people

2020-11-30 05:15:59 UTC

@nachik, you just advanced to level 9!

2020-11-30 05:16:35 UTC

It's a good excuse to not have to hang around people too long. I'm best experienced in small doses - it's good to know your own shortcomings, I suppose.

2020-11-30 05:17:06 UTC

we had 100s of thousands of people with long term sequels for H1N1

2020-11-30 05:17:12 UTC

nobody even talks about it

2020-11-30 05:17:55 UTC

I find it very weird that there is such strict control of the narrative and it genuinely creates distrust

2020-11-30 05:18:52 UTC

here we have these official pressers with the PM and health experts, given a lot of importance

2020-11-30 05:19:48 UTC

and they say stuff that directly contradicts their own previous advice, and we can't even point it out openly for fear of retribution

2020-11-30 05:21:01 UTC

and it's not like many people think it's not a real virus or it's not serious for some demographics

2020-11-30 05:22:25 UTC

in the area were I live, exactly one year ago it was illegal to cover your face

2020-11-30 05:22:39 UTC

@nachik agree...

2020-11-30 05:22:50 UTC

all very strange

2020-11-30 05:23:11 UTC

All too convenient

2020-11-30 05:23:12 UTC

the streets where I live are completely covered by CCTV

2020-11-30 05:23:26 UTC

Canary Wharf, South Quay, Poplar areas

2020-11-30 05:24:04 UTC

you would have been fined by simply covering your face, and now you are expected to even outside

2020-11-30 05:24:07 UTC

As Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, adamantly denied there was evidence of widespread voter fraud in the state, Perdue and Loeffler called on him to resign, ostensibly in an effort to curry favor with Trump. Collins also criticized Raffensperger, igniting an unexpected feud among the top Georgia officials.

“We strengthened signature match. We helped train election officials on GBI signature match — which is confirmed twice before a ballot is ever cast. Failed candidate Doug Collins is a liar — but what’s new?” Raffensperger wrote in a Facebook post earlier this month. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/527549-five-things-to-know-about-georgias-senate-runoffs

2020-11-30 05:24:47 UTC

I'm liking this Raffensperger fellow more and more

2020-11-30 05:25:02 UTC

@meglide they all look like bank robbers from the past based solely off the picture.

2020-11-30 05:25:14 UTC

Wait so Raffensberger is the good guy now

2020-11-30 05:25:36 UTC

it does fit a theory from when Trump distanced himself from Sidney Powell

2020-11-30 05:25:53 UTC

that she was going to bring some strong charges against Republicans in Georgia

2020-11-30 05:25:53 UTC

for me yes

2020-11-30 05:26:01 UTC

@meglide it's not a crypto-dem-repo ?

2020-11-30 05:26:09 UTC

Interesting

2020-11-30 05:26:28 UTC

Well trump folks are not fans

2020-11-30 05:26:40 UTC

I was ambivalent, between possible disrepute from the charges and that theory

2020-11-30 05:26:49 UTC

now it looks like that was a strong factor

2020-11-30 05:26:59 UTC

and those folks are about to hand the Senate to the Democrats

2020-11-30 05:27:11 UTC

@meglide please say he hasn't found the spiritual messaging link to Q?

2020-11-30 05:27:23 UTC

I actually can’t wait to see what happens in the runoff’s, I mean only if they lose the senate. That would be just amazing

2020-11-30 05:27:40 UTC

it was in Utah and someone took it already

2020-11-30 05:27:44 UTC

Kraken eats it’s own tail

2020-11-30 05:27:49 UTC

talking to Americans it's a bit annoying that some of them really root so hard for some outcome

2020-11-30 05:28:09 UTC

and cannot separate that bias from their judgement of the legal situation

2020-11-30 05:28:57 UTC

I'm currently trusting foreign prediction markets the most

2020-11-30 05:29:08 UTC

but they do miss a lot of legal detail

2020-11-30 05:29:08 UTC

@james j I actually tried to get one of those Kraken salads today all sushi places seem to be closed.

@nachik Here in CA, we have been largely accepting of the restriction in order to keep the hospitalization rate down. We have around 24m people in southern CA - 3.2m in Orange County where I live. The greater London area is a densely populated area. Do your people share any of the concerns about minimizing the impact to the healthcare system?
