I think ideally the dems wanted to interview people to force the Senate's hand or get voted out but instead they just pretended he was innocent after covering it all up.
Yup @Dedkraken
Like Al Capone I dont know how all the witnesses died I guess I never committed a crime.
@nachik she was constantly under investigation from the republican house
Or senate I don’t remember
When we killed bin laden did we have evidence he committed all those crimes?
Actually... I don't think he lied. When he was asked the question about did he have sexual relations, he asked for a definition of sexual relations. The definition he was given that it was "the touching of another person's genitals with the intention of giving them sexual gratification". In his mind, he could honestly say that he did not engage in sexual relations, because he could care less if she was gratified at all. So, based on the supplied definition, he told the truth.
the story of Al Capone is a story of miscarriage of law sold as a win
People cared that Clinton lied that's why she was so loathed on her own side
maybe some Republicans cared
but they hated him anyway
Any idea on when Kamala will step down from her senate seat? What’s that strategy?
I honestly think that is what happened... I think the saw an opening that would allow him to weasel out of it and it would have worked were it not for that dress.
What's not so transparent about the election though. The process is pretty solid. Some of the things requested are outside the law or really out there
Not until she is sworn in.
I'm pretty sure.
Weird
Given all that is going on, they'll wait until the EC or Trump concedes. Plus, they might need her vote... Newsom should probably have someone ready to replace her that is ready to hit the ground running.
is that common practice?
I think so... I'd have to look it up.
Although I'm not sure if that triggers a special election or something the next one
if Biden swears in and remains less than 2 years in power, Kamala can only run once
I think newsom just picks one
Those replacements rules are always weird
It is probably usually done sooner, but usually the projected loser concedes to remove all doubt about the transition.
They usually step down almost immediately
If memory serves me correctly
To the people saying that Kamala has not stepped down because she is waiting for inaguration.... Obama stepped down mid November. So what gives?
I don't think that's true... LBJ could have run for reelection, but chose not to.
Clinton may have been a "we can't even open that bag of worms" type of scandal so the only thing pressing at the time was uprising pressure and a blue dress. The People are more ready for scathing reality, but possibly not. This heist has been brutal. Only happy to have noticed since a year ago.
21st amendment
Usually the election is just done. This time we gotta rule out regular lawsuits, extreme kraken lawsuits, electoral theft, certification shenanigans, delaying the electoral college, military coup then its finalized
No chance of two cycles after and if he croaks?
2 years or more of a POTUS that takes over without an election counts like a full term for term limits according to the 21st
My math was wrong... I was thinking Lincoln for the timing of the assassination.
was checking yesterday
Yup its like a 10 year max
@Dedkraken, you just advanced to level 7!
however
