Bad actors. Multiple news sources asked election officials why they were stopping counting, and they didn't come up with an answer. Then They continued it on through the night.

2020-12-02 07:01:57 UTC

That’s just the nature of a crowd sourced platform.

2020-12-02 07:01:59 UTC

@DrSammyD that can be explained by more vigilance and awareness. In most places people knew they had to vote by mail and they made sure they did it right

2020-12-02 07:02:16 UTC

You need to understand the issue better to speak intelligently on this subject. The issue isn't precisely the distance, it is **access to observe the ballots**. For example, in grade school you could observe your teachers paper when they put it on that machine that enlarged and projected it on the wall or to a monitor that you were close to. Observers could be 100 feet away if the workers projected each ballot to a high definition monitor that an observer was watching, and the observer had a way to object, etc.

Similarly, an observer could be 6 inches away but not allowed to object to ballots. This would be equally problematic.

In places where the laws regarding absentee ballot observers were not followed, the ballots must be thrown out. The laws are there to ensure integrity of the process, and to mandate the procedure of processing the ballots. If you dont follow the law, that is a problem.

@yetiCodes just stating it isn’t enough, proving it happened is what is needed

2020-12-02 07:02:58 UTC

@JonasRobert never mind... I found were you clearly said that six feet is too far.... so per your own logic we have to throw out every single vote at every single polling place that had the six foot rule in place

2020-12-02 07:03:13 UTC

@JonasRobert if you want to disqualify bunch of ballots you would have to do it equally and the result would be the same

2020-12-02 07:03:27 UTC

People are people everywhere. 5% rejection rate doesn't suddenly fall to 0.1% because of vigilance.

2020-12-02 07:03:32 UTC

but the place was still open to observers to watch the night crew so whats the bad action? also they didnt stop counting so its a bit confusing as to why someone would be asking why they stopped counting

2020-12-02 07:03:33 UTC

Again, judges keep pushing back because of technicalities, so we don’t even get to hear them make the case

2020-12-02 07:03:38 UTC

Yes I was speaking in generality because I expected you to understand the issue without me typing an essay on the specifics

2020-12-02 07:04:04 UTC

They literally left, closed up shop, then returned and started counting again.

2020-12-02 07:04:14 UTC

In the middle of the night

2020-12-02 07:04:21 UTC

They said they'd be back in the morning.

2020-12-02 07:04:22 UTC

also some observers seemed to think they should be able to verify signatures when they couldn't thats why info needs more cleared up

2020-12-02 07:04:25 UTC

The poll workers that interpret the data from the ballots receive what type of training and or certification?

2020-12-02 07:04:31 UTC

Nothing nefarious happening there for sure,

2020-12-02 07:05:00 UTC

that description doesn't seem to match what the election workers said

2020-12-02 07:05:34 UTC

Why not? The kind of people that did it prior were generally older and over sees. Most of the time these abetted ballots aren’t even counted until much later. This year people saw the election has high stakes and mail in would be the only option they had (from their point of view) so they made sure they voted right. No election has been this charged in recent history @DrSammyD

2020-12-02 07:06:10 UTC

Because Ohio, and Florida, and Iowa and IL had the SAME rejection rates as before.

2020-12-02 07:06:34 UTC

What kind of vetting is required to be a poll worker?

2020-12-02 07:06:36 UTC

An affidavit is proof. These people did not find it pleasant to be going into a hearing before Senate and Legislators. It's not a casual occurrence.

2020-12-02 07:07:05 UTC

@yetiCodes no I’m talking about the affidavits when faces to the,. They filed their own case. They could have gotten it to court. They also don’t need to wait on anyone to present their evidence to the public. If what they presented in the hearings was it that is not enough, if they have more they should just present it.

2020-12-02 07:07:05 UTC

An affidavit is evidence*

2020-12-02 07:07:29 UTC

And @JonasRobert you are very simply moving the goal post because you backed yourself into a corner.
By your own statement you are saying, as I have shown you, that poll watcher kept six feet or more back could not do their job.

Your stated remedy was to throw out all of the votes where these poll watchers were ineffective because of the distance.

Now, we can't just throw out the counties were Biden won. So, how is this a remedy?

Ive agreed that the distance was a challenge and clearly lessened their effectiveness. It would be silly and dishonest to suggest otherwise.

But it is equally silly to say six feet is ok but ten is not.

2020-12-02 07:07:48 UTC

@DrSammyD aren’t those red states?

2020-12-02 07:08:05 UTC

Illinois isn't

2020-12-02 07:08:27 UTC

plenty of those affidavits were nothing really at all but is that proof of something wrong? if they arent even describing fraud

2020-12-02 07:08:36 UTC

New York had the same rejection rates. Literally everybody except the contested states had the same rejection rates.

2020-12-02 07:08:42 UTC

Do poll workers get paid?

2020-12-02 07:08:48 UTC

If you are talking about Georgia they had the best ground game. People literally went house to house by foot to make sure people filled their ballot in with no mistakes @DrSammyD

2020-12-02 07:08:56 UTC

they get paid to count yeah

2020-12-02 07:09:02 UTC

Not to my knowledge, no

2020-12-02 07:09:03 UTC

It depends some workers do... some are volunteers...it just depends

2020-12-02 07:09:04 UTC

its a temp gig

2020-12-02 07:09:24 UTC

Oh. Thought you said watchers.

2020-12-02 07:09:27 UTC

@DrSammyD hold on where are you getting this data , and how can we trust it?

2020-12-02 07:09:28 UTC

All the bickering lol, geez. I have to assume no one in this chat is either a judge involved in this case, a house member, senator or decision maker in the outcome of the election. Well, here’s some insight from someone who is and what he is thinking. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t0rr8n3GGEg

2020-12-02 07:09:29 UTC

My b.

2020-12-02 07:09:34 UTC

observers are volunteer

2020-12-02 07:09:59 UTC

It’s fun banter. Lol.
