It's more that the decisions weren't cut and dry. Should the judiciary be able to change things that appear to be reserved for the state legislatures?
I personally think that is dangerous.
Can be but checks and balances cant be perfect
They don't have to be perfect to be trustworthy.
Their only purpose for existing is cancelling higher authority
They couldnt take the case to its merits though it's just delayed of they want to modify the law post election probably can
Could one competently argue that had Trump not continuously claim that the election would be rigged, these affiants are unlikely to have been "on alert" so intently looking for fraud and evaluating unknown circumstance as suspicious because they were looking at everything assuming malfeasance?
I thought their asks were real big too if they won no? It wasnt just late arrival ballots?
Maybe, but with many of his supporters and myself, were surprised when waking up Nov 4th. Even if he didn't believe there was fraud, he can't risk laying down for his base.
They keep putting in the lawsuits stuff like if we prove these few votes were bad let us erase the whole election and declare a winner
As I understand it, most cases have been dismissed due to procedural issues. Those that haven't have been under time constraints that make their claims difficult to prove. It would be better to have a robust system where these claims couldn't survive the process of validation. Most states seemed to have a robust enough process that this isn't even a question. A handful of states (or areas within the states) have either been incompetent or malicious.
Many of his supporters already admire the fact he's not conceding and will continue to fight tooth and nail.
Hard to tell without evaluating the evidence yourself.
Honestly Bernie Sanders would have had a lot more support in 2016 if he chose to run as an Independent on the ballot instead of stepping aside for Clinton. A lot of his base really felt betrayed he conceded to her in the primaries.
That happens everywhere... Because TX and FL counted mail-ins early, Biden had a huge lead going into the later hours only to see it dwindle as the in-person votes come in.
I think most cases were filed by private citizens, I think Rudy has only filed 3-4, not counting times they appealed and so forth.
Sanders couldnt run independent 2016. He didnt want to lose Dem support anyways
I think Bernie Sanders ideologies are crap but at least he is a consistent and trustworhty candidate and seems to genuinely believe that his policies would improve the lives of average Americans. His policies and ideologies are still crap but I can respect the geniuness.
same, only that I can admire about him, and the fact that he's older than Biden but still has better control of his mental faculties.
Theres a complex set of rules and deadlines filing independent and getting on ballots for potus it's designed to not let 3rd parties in he was legally blocked if he wanted to stick with it close to primaries
Yeah, it baffles me how people can't see Biden's mental decline. My grandpa had some of the same characteristics and took only a year or two from Biden's point to become totally incoherent.
I thought the MI election officials made their case well today in the MI hearing. Why are their viewpoints discounted and the assertions by Trump that the election would be rigged 8 months ahead of time taken seriously?
Did you mean to reply to someone else with this comment?
Well that's what happens when everyone kept reading the Orange Man Bad stuff without ever judging his policies and executive actions on their merits.
Curiously there was a interesting nonprofit which aimed to be the first 3rd party ticket on all 50 states ballots but they didnt have a candidate
I'm mostly going by the data and eyewitness reports in my decision making. The combination of weird statistics and eyewitness reports makes me believe the results are suspect. I don't think that they would change the final results of the presidential election but I'm angry the claims aren't being seriously examined and validated.
That's my issue. I don't want to run the country on how people feel or this trendy sociolological theory. Trump had some solid policy decisions that should be acknowledged.
Regarding Biden's supposed mental decline... have you watched Biden's town hall meetings or longer form interviews (like the one he gave to Crooked media before the election? What I saw was someone exceedingly knowledgeable on a myriad of topics and issues.
Also AG Barr has taken a very passive stance to all this, he has the privilege of compounding those voting machines but didn't act soon enough, he could issue subpoenas for those that work for Dominion and there's justification to have them testify given how much money they were paid in public contracts.
I hope this impacts positive change on future elections this kind of shenanigans is always present but traditionally nobody cares
My fear with Biden is just further justification to keep our troops engaged in Middle-Eastern conflict when we should have pulled out years ago.
I don't doubt that he lots of knowledge or experience. My concern is that I see a pattern. I don't think Kamala Harris is experienced, principled, or honest enough to be the president and I just don't see Biden going the distance. I'm less worried about Biden as a candidate than I am about him being used to insert a more progressive agenda.
Sending Barr and his prosecutors out early was a mistake it looks very political to tell them to investigate the whole enchilada instead of finding something tangible that they could specifically look into
I consider Kamala as more of a grifter in that regard given her history as a prosecutor, people would have a very different opinion of her if they knew her stance on marijuana then as opposed to now when it's convenient to be weed friendly.
"THEY WERE BEING DISRUPTIVE" - the brainlets in this discord
It seems like an odd statement to claim only 6.5% of people check the correct vote was marked on the paper trail after you use a computer to vote especially during this election. Maybe people dont check the whole down ballot but the presidential pick? No Trump supporters wanted to check their vote wasnt switched to Biden?
some Trump supporters complained a vote had already been cast in their name when they hadn't even requested a ballot nor gone in to vote.
That's a different thing though like ballot cast heres the printout that says you voted for Trump or Biden who's ignoring that so frequently
Also that one female representative on the committee was just utterly rude, you don't believe a witness, fine, but you diminish your own side's credibility when you claim a witness is lying and not attempt to logically disprove them.
