Also I have never heard anyone ever say all Indians look alike , trumps legal team just needed to slip a anti China reference in there somewhere . It’s just part of their disinformation campaign
To suggest that is also racist, apparently
@thebrodys again based on the idea you can’t tell Asians apart which is the stupid racist part
To be fair, there is a known issue that people are more likely to accurately identify someone in a lineup if they are of the same race. This bias has even been identified in facial recognition software where the success rate of facial identification is skewed toward the race of the programmer. https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2019/12/19/facial-recognition-study-finds-results-biased-race-gender-and-age/2704291001/
@TaLoN132 I guess that would be argument to hire more Chinese people at polling places
I'm not following you... Dr. Travers is an American of African descent. She testified as an expert on MI elections.
I acknowledge there are probably some minor differences, it generally Asians do look extremely similar
Requiring an ID to vote is an absolute necessity
@TaLoN132 i meant the people that signed the affidavit regular people working as poll workers not paid experts
Which was the ladies entire point
I’m sure this has already been posted, but

@thebrodys you would be blind to say you can’t tell the difference. Also how come no one ever advocates for government paid ids for people that everyone gets for free when they turn 18
It's just not fair for her to have brought it up in that context. I don't believe that she is a sociologist testifying that ID's should be required because it increases the likelihood that someone of a different race might be able to vote multiple times because the poll worker is of a different race.
@thebrodys i can make a fake id. And vote for someone else .
IMO, unless there is a solid explanation... that looks pretty incriminating
Per the same logic, it would be harder for someone to tell if the person in the photo was the same person in front of them.
Alright, I'm going to explain this here, and I hope everyone stops calling each other racist.
Races have a preferential ability to distinguish one another apart because they are **that race**. It's harder for a white person to distinguish differences in the faces of other races, and vise-versa. This is backed up by science, it's a literal fact. This is called cross-race bias or own-race bias.
There is nothing inherently racist or malevolent in this, it's just the ability to process different information for different races, as they focus on other kinds of differences than the inherent race you are.
Second: It is not a fact that races of one type are less prone to be unique than races of another type. To suggest this is mildly racist in my opinion. You don't have to suggest they're inferior for something to be judgmental and prejudice. I don't believe I've seen **any** science suggesting that people of a certain race are less distinguishable to each other rather than outside races, and if there were, I'd point to the fact that one race sees another race differently than they see themselves.
@Beth they say it’s racist because minorities in rural places tend to be poorer and rely on public transportation or being unable to get time off work to get anything involved paper work done. It’s racist in effect
@Maw racism does not require malicious intent also I advocated for hiring more Chinese people in polling places of statistically they would be better at screening for Asians
I agree with this completely. I’m not trying to be smug about it or anything. Honestly, I genuinely have a hard time picking up differences in other races.
But I said that. Was that tagged to everyone? Sometimes It doesn’t tell me @Maw
I wasn’t aware that this was a thing. Certainly does make sense.
This is because you're likely not of that race, and look at certain features that are more random in other races differently.
Yes, this was to everyone.
Stop calling each other racist.
@yetiCodes By being a mod.
Jk
Someone from Fulton County testified this morning before the Senate committee that they did not stop voting during election night and that Republican poll watchers were there the whole time. They said that some workers chose to leave at 10:30 and mentioned to some of the poll workers that *they* were leaving, but that they had been asked to stay and election officials never told watchers to leave.
I don’t think a regular ID goes far enough. I think everyone should have a chipped voter card of some kind that is coded with your voter information. Voting should require one of these cards AND when you do your actual vote a finger print linked with your voter card should be required to submit the vote
Voting is the most sacred thing a citizen can do in this country.
It’s so sacred that the GOP consistently try everything they can to suppress votes @thebrodys why don’t we have a voting holiday to ensure people get to vote
@yetiCodes They also addressed the water leak issue... The leak was discovered at 6:07 and fixed in a couple of hours. They said that the owner of State Farm arena was prepared to testify to that fact. At no time were ballots left alone and the chain of custody was not broken.
@thebrodys make the country pay for it and ensure everyone can get their chip voter ids and everyone would be on board
I agree that there should be some sort of voting holiday..called Election Day. I do think people should be given that time to vote
Agree. Government should pay for it
Oh, dang. Gotcha.
@TaLoN132 can guliani get sued for misleading information. And lying
Everyone should get a freedom sausage
You do know there are poor white people in the same situation though?
