Malcolm X died before he ever saw the southern strategy or George Wallace sweep the Deep South. His viewpoints dont translate too well into modern politics.

2020-12-04 14:28:13 UTC

The southern strategy doesn’t invalidate anything. Nobody wants to see black Americans become wealthy and escape poverty less than white liberals

2020-12-04 14:29:29 UTC

Bullshit sorry but that is just bullshit.... Growing up in the South it is very obvious that old school white racism that doesnt want blacks to succeed. And those racist vote both ways

2020-12-04 14:30:55 UTC

I grew up in the south too. There is racism, sure, but white conservatives aren’t pushing policies that create single parent black households (greater predictor of poverty than not having a college degree)

2020-12-04 14:30:57 UTC

@JD~Jordan I see no need to comment that. You completely missed the point Malcom X was trying to make.

2020-12-04 14:31:42 UTC

A wealthy black man is not a democratic voter. It is not in white liberals interest for them to move vertically and their policies reflect that.

2020-12-04 14:32:24 UTC

I disagree that there are only liberals and conservatives. That doesn't take into consideration marxists. Marxism and liberalism are polar opposites and is also not conservatism.

2020-12-04 14:32:40 UTC

Of course it changed things. Everyone thought if we put two strong candidates that opposed segregation on both major party tickets we could pull conservatives out of the mud. They said screw that we are going third party. Bring us a platform of no rights for minorities or we will burn the country down. Southern Heritage not party was the problem. Its baked into their DNA. We saw the GOP and Dems in the south band together and oppose minority rights and the GOP and Dems in the north band together to pass it. Anyone that didnt see that dramatic shift in politics wouldnt have a firm grasp on what would happen just as those today that deny the southern strategy existed and say the civil war wasnt about slavery cant grasp accurate politics either. The foundation of this ideology is based on attempted rewrites of history.

2020-12-04 14:34:14 UTC

I don’t deny that the southern strategy happened... but isn’t really relevant in modern politics IMO

2020-12-04 14:34:29 UTC

The race based policies all come from liberals now

2020-12-04 14:35:23 UTC

Actually, it comes from Leftism

2020-12-04 14:35:37 UTC

As well as extreme Rightism

2020-12-04 14:35:57 UTC

I agree with that, just using liberalism in the context that Malcom x used it lol

2020-12-04 14:38:05 UTC

As far as I'm concerned, race based anything comes from improper upbringing and being taught selective hatred of others based on various attributes. It is the teachings of ignorance.

2020-12-04 14:38:28 UTC

Leftist policies are designed for black families to grow up in secular single parent households and go to college. What does this do? Makes them marginally wealthier, yes, but, it also allows the state and universities to impose their own values on them rather than their family’s values, created life long blue voters, and turns them into tax cattle that can be milked for decades

2020-12-04 14:38:36 UTC

Things will get interesting if Trump vetoes the defense bill

2020-12-04 14:38:57 UTC

Via student debt

2020-12-04 14:38:58 UTC

@Bey All primates discriminate based on herd.

2020-12-04 14:39:47 UTC

In the human you have multiple variatons. Football club. Brand of phone. Color of skin. Part of town.

2020-12-04 14:40:05 UTC

@Doc humans are more than mere animals

2020-12-04 14:40:13 UTC

@Bey Sometimes, yes.

2020-12-04 14:40:32 UTC

if by "animals" you mean "the rest of the animals"

2020-12-04 14:40:51 UTC

But not often, I would say, and when, then just barely.

2020-12-04 14:41:34 UTC

Criminal justice reform signed into law, 10 yrs of funding for black universities and colleges, opportunity zones give tax breaks if companies invest and create jobs in under privileged areas (most inner cities). ALL done under Trump’s watch.

2020-12-04 14:41:36 UTC

Do you think Trump supporters will start chanting Defund the Military to show support?

2020-12-04 14:43:19 UTC

I disagree, but whatever

2020-12-04 14:43:41 UTC

The hatred for Donald Trump is understandable. The unwavering devotion that some show for him however not so much. The hatred is stirred up by the opposite party and this has been pretty standard for a couple of decades now. Further Trump himself doesn't help the situation when he responds in a mean and nasty way to anyone that opposes him. The fact that he's willing to throw just about anyone under the bus who disagrees with him regardless of their past history of devotion and sacrifice for him is what makes the unwavering devotion to him so puzzling.

2020-12-04 14:43:56 UTC

Without belief in a Creator, then humans are nothing more than animals, as morals come from such belief. There cannot be morals or any distinguishing between what is right or wrong, good or bad, without a Creator. It all becomes subjective and without anything to really base it on.

2020-12-04 14:44:42 UTC

@Bey ah! Well, then I can agree with you on your terms. Your God declares humans as special.

2020-12-04 14:45:36 UTC

@Bey But there ends the science, I suppose. Good talk. I understand the misunderstanding now.

2020-12-04 14:46:12 UTC

Raise your hand if you've heard of the candle problem?

2020-12-04 14:46:29 UTC

I think the devotion for trump is fueled by all of the illegal and unethical shit that the other side does to him. Speaking for myself. Like I don’t care how trump sounds on Twitter if he’s standing up to the people that illegally spy on him and utilize rioters to burn our cities down in order to hurt him politically.

2020-12-04 14:46:29 UTC

@AdvanceManExtraordinaire, you just advanced to level 8!

2020-12-04 14:47:25 UTC

Before he ran for President, when he did the Apprentice show and before, he was a sought after guest on Oprah’s show - they adored Trump asking him to tell his secrets of success. Photos of Trump with black leaders shaking hands and happy for his donations and support. The mainstream media turned Trump into a racist. NBC used to love him during the Apprentice run. On that show he gave equal deference to all; Muslims, Blacks, Whites, Male, Female, Hispanics, etc. They were all evaluated on their performance. No racism, no baitism, no xenophobia.

2020-12-04 14:47:57 UTC

@Doc the American society, as well as virtually all other societies, have their laws that originate from religious laws, such as the ten commandments, for example.

2020-12-04 14:48:23 UTC

@Bey well, most of your legal principles are actually Roman. Its why they have Latin names.

2020-12-04 14:48:30 UTC

Romans were largely secular.

2020-12-04 14:48:48 UTC

Matthew 25 :29

2020-12-04 14:49:03 UTC

@Bey I moved to general. We are contaminating the election.

2020-12-04 14:49:37 UTC

Really? So its moral to stone your mother to death if she wears a cotton tweed blend jacket? Or after eating a lobster?
Is it more to beat you slave so longs as they don't die the same day of the beating?

Do you also think sin is just another word for immoral? If so what is immoral about working on Sunday or having a tattoo that says "Love Mom-until she wore that damn jacket at Red Lobster, then I had to kill her"

2020-12-04 14:50:50 UTC

The American legal system is based on the Judaeo Christian ethics. Ten Commandments and ethics of the Old Testament AND the royal law of love revealed in Christ (New Testament). All Biblical basis.
