Yet you agreed to some of our opinion

2020-12-13 05:12:18 UTC

How can you say that opinion is the problem?

2020-12-13 05:12:25 UTC

That people getting away with rape is bad? Yes. I don't blame the victims though, lol.

2020-12-13 05:12:36 UTC

what cultural problem is there saying we should go after rapists, not just when its convenient but to STOP them

2020-12-13 05:12:42 UTC

We are not BLAMING victims!

2020-12-13 05:13:13 UTC

We are saying that they need to act or it leaves doubt and allows for false allegations

2020-12-13 05:13:18 UTC

"its stupid and wrong imo **to be silent** and let a rapist get in a major position of power [...]" ah yes, not blaming the victims.

2020-12-13 05:13:28 UTC

yeah and in one of those I think the PA supreme court ruled that Act 77 was constitutional under the PA state constitution that is ... strange ruling considering there's also a constitutional amendment on the ballot ... nevertheless federal courts aren't touching that one

2020-12-13 05:13:30 UTC

As well as allows for more victims.

2020-12-13 05:13:43 UTC

The biggest problem with these "That bad man touched me here" scenarios is that they are given press when they are
politically convenient to one side, and when political investment is over those making allegations vanish - eliminating not only their credibility, but that of those that need someone to find them credible.

2020-12-13 05:13:56 UTC

You take words out of context so easily.

2020-12-13 05:13:59 UTC

We used to have the ability to disagree amicably. The concerted and coordinated effort on the right to victimize their base with a constant barrage of fear mongering regarding the left is sad. McCarthy did it in the 50's and - for a while - the country seemed to get over it. The same tactics are being used now - you would think we would have learned by now. Divided we fall. It's so simple. That's all our enemies have to do - make the right believe that those that don't agree with them are the boogeymen.

2020-12-13 05:13:59 UTC

if its true, what about the 2nd or 3rd victim, forget politics for once

2020-12-13 05:14:08 UTC

Make up your mind, either you're blaming the victim, or you're not blaming the victim.

2020-12-13 05:14:16 UTC

Can't be both.

2020-12-13 05:14:19 UTC

Mutually exclusive!

2020-12-13 05:14:50 UTC

THIS... THIS RIGHT HERE... Does this help @Maw ?

2020-12-13 05:15:30 UTC

No one is blaming the victim.

2020-12-13 05:15:55 UTC

A victim is a victim. They are not at fault.

2020-12-13 05:16:09 UTC

But you can't go PRETEND to be a victim when you're not!

2020-12-13 05:16:24 UTC

It's wrong!!!

2020-12-13 05:16:34 UTC

@meglide I think there are two things happening in courts demonstrating their conceit. 1) There are courts that are ruling out of fear of the consequences, and as cowards have thrown away the integrity of their court. 2) There are those that are ruling out of party loyalty. Both 1) the Republicans, and 2) the Democrats have rendered what little faith existed in our legal system void.

2020-12-13 05:16:57 UTC

What's wrong with blaming victims? I don't get the hangup.

If you don't insure your house against flood, and your house is flooded, are you not partially responsible? Sure it's global warnings fault, but you should have prepared.

Humans are a force of nature you need to contend with and prepare for. Lower your victim profile or get victimized.

2020-12-13 05:18:08 UTC

That is a whole different thing. This involves physical assault and rape, etc

2020-12-13 05:18:16 UTC

You would have an argument worth listening to if the conditions were the same as the 1950's. They are not. You are wrong. We are at war against a Chinese govt. backed insurgency.

2020-12-13 05:18:55 UTC

the first part is not my read ... I think the courts, for the most part, are doing what they're supposed to ... but I do agree that both parties are politicizing the courts

2020-12-13 05:19:01 UTC

No it isn't. Humans rape. Rivers flood. Protect yourself.

2020-12-13 05:19:39 UTC

So, if a child is sent home with instructions from school to ask the man of the house about sex, is the child partially responsible for being raped?

2020-12-13 05:19:39 UTC

That's a good way to change the discussion. Thanks.

2020-12-13 05:20:17 UTC

Children are different when it comes to responsibility.

2020-12-13 05:20:40 UTC

@DrSammyD That doesn't keep the victim from being blamed.

2020-12-13 05:21:04 UTC

A none consent is a none consent. There is such thing as a consent none consent but that is different. None consent is strictly none consent.

2020-12-13 05:21:04 UTC

@BoxyPunkChick, you just advanced to level 7!

2020-12-13 05:21:22 UTC

Consent none consent must be of sound and clear mind

2020-12-13 05:21:26 UTC

Blame the victims parents

2020-12-13 05:21:43 UTC

Nonconsensual.

2020-12-13 05:22:05 UTC

Wow so exact. It's the same thing.

2020-12-13 05:22:16 UTC

😂

2020-12-13 05:22:34 UTC

One is grammatically correct.
