California Gov. Gavin Newsom

2020-12-21 22:18:48 UTC

quarantined

2020-12-21 22:18:54 UTC

I don't think cops should be able to kick down your door and shoot you if you respond to someone busting down your door with a gun pointed at them.

2020-12-21 22:22:13 UTC

The constitution isn't outdated first off because it presents and describes methods to alter it via amendments. Whether people and/or states take those steps falls onto their respective residents and is nowhere near indicative of the founding document as being outdated.
To be in favor of unions is not relative to preventing reform of the union or what the union represents. using my own experience with unions and my observations from my mom's time as a USW Steward, unions can be supported by members yet also undergo change that benefits everyone (not just their members). She had a direct hand in removing the corrupt union officials in her local to which everyone in the company benefited.

2020-12-21 22:22:18 UTC

If it was only that simple.

2020-12-21 22:23:07 UTC

Clearly I'm referring to no-knock warrants, and I want police to have more of a responsibility to the public that they have authority over.

2020-12-21 22:23:20 UTC

They should be expected to perform above average in these situations.

2020-12-21 22:23:28 UTC

It's exactly what they're trained to do.

2020-12-21 22:23:33 UTC

You're referring to the raid incident where the suspect's girlfriend was shot and killed after the suspect, with a lawfully owned firearm, fired at intruders who turned out to be cops (can't remember the names)?

2020-12-21 22:23:52 UTC

No, I'm referring to the comment I made specifically, and nothing else.

2020-12-21 22:24:59 UTC

So Sorry. It was not Clear to me. I must have missed a previous Post of Yours putting that statement into context?

2020-12-21 22:25:34 UTC

"Kicking in your door and shooting you if you respond thinking someone is breaking into your house"

2020-12-21 22:26:29 UTC

@DeathRhodes666 also have you read the GOP bill v the democrats bill. The gop bill gave most of the money to corporations. The dem bill went directly to the people and small businesses. It had provisions for ppe and testing. It had money that went to non profits that were employing people and needed that money. You should read both bills me compare. I am aware of the conservative talking point. However like most things they say it is highly misleading and inaccurate.

2020-12-21 22:26:57 UTC

Well, if no one announces their presence or shows justification to enter your home then you are typically well within your rights to self-defense to stop those intruders. there are self-defense laws and Castle Doctrine laws that allow you to do so. And if the intruders happen to be cops who illegally perform such actions or perform actions that are justified in responding with gunfire to defend yourself, then they fooked up and should suffer any consequence stemming form their actions.

2020-12-21 22:27:07 UTC

@DeathRhodes666 of course it outdated. It makes no consideration for a pandemic become the fore fathers never considered it

2020-12-21 22:27:28 UTC

It’s not one magical document. People act like there Isn’t a pandemic @DeathRhodes666

2020-12-21 22:27:42 UTC

Do you see ANY practical use for No Knock Warrants?

2020-12-21 22:27:46 UTC

Nuh-uh, I don't even think it should be legal for cops to do this if they follow the rules. You're talking about qualified immunity, which is something we may just vehemently disagree with.

2020-12-21 22:27:58 UTC

Yeah this bill recently passed is ridiculous and directed towards a lot of the wrong areas (mainly towards big business and not small business and the people). This one is 6k pages right? Might take me a while to read it

2020-12-21 22:28:14 UTC

None which warrant the use of them. It's too abhorrent an idea to me.

2020-12-21 22:28:20 UTC

@DeathRhodes666 no I am talking about the one in March

2020-12-21 22:28:48 UTC

Qualified Immunity needs to go. The first time i learned of it i came to that conclusion. Why it exists in the first place idk. Eliminating that is something I'm entirely behind

2020-12-21 22:28:55 UTC

That if left up to the dems would have been something that would have been more than just a one time payment @DeathRhodes666

2020-12-21 22:29:14 UTC

That's the one that gave us $1200 right?

2020-12-21 22:29:25 UTC

So don't use the justification of 'if the police legally did this', because that's basically appealing to qualified immunity.

2020-12-21 22:29:50 UTC

Only 1200 to people and much more to non vulnerable corporations due to the GOP @DeathRhodes666

2020-12-21 22:29:54 UTC

I'm thinking some misinterpretation happened somewhere I'm unaware of.

2020-12-21 22:30:34 UTC

To save a Life seems like a good reason to me. I wish I was so sure and share your opinion.

2020-12-21 22:30:54 UTC

Sure, and how many others do you extinguish in the process?

2020-12-21 22:31:27 UTC

I'm not for a continuous payment like that, especially in a semi-closed economy, as that only destroys the strength of the dollar and severely damages our economy. But, the majority of that stimulus should've been directed towards people and businesses that truly need it. Not major corps or anything of that nature.

2020-12-21 22:33:00 UTC

Depends on the Value placed upon Victims? That may be a starting point? I don't know.

2020-12-21 22:33:07 UTC

I mean, 35% of all dollars in circulation were printed this past year. That's not a very good statistic

2020-12-21 22:33:10 UTC

It’s money that we have it’s not printed money. @DeathRhodes666 also if we can fund our GOP led wars and bailing out corporations we can affords monthly payments. Just like every other first world nation

2020-12-21 22:33:15 UTC

We're also not usually talking about hostage situations.

2020-12-21 22:33:40 UTC

Which make up a tiny percentage of no-knock warrants.

2020-12-21 22:34:14 UTC

Actually, not even sure they're considered a no-knock warrant.

2020-12-21 22:34:22 UTC

As they're usually active hostage situations.

2020-12-21 22:34:42 UTC

I did say "Any" and your response was "none". I just working with those two facts right now.

2020-12-21 22:35:22 UTC

How commonly do you think people respond to someone kicking down their door/breaking their windows by grabbing a gun? Fairly common right?

2020-12-21 22:36:48 UTC

Be fair, both Dem and Gop-led wars/conflicts and corporation bailouts. The two parties are just two sides of the same coin working towards their goal of benefiting themselves. And it's not money we have either, more like money borrowed from future generations. The debt has blown up this past year due to that borrowing of future, non-existent money. I said it earlier but nearly 35% of the money in circulation today was printed this past year as well. A continuous paycheck without opening up the economy would've only exacerbated this financial situation.
