I think you can get permission from federal courts to practice law in the court.

2020-12-30 23:30:06 UTC

Only for specific cases.

2020-12-30 23:30:16 UTC

Even if you pass the bar in a state you still have to be approved by the federal court to appear.

2020-12-30 23:30:28 UTC

I think

2020-12-30 23:31:01 UTC

I guess what I am saying or asking is that I dont believe there is a special law licenses for the federal system. You have to be licensed in a state and then file a request with the federal court in which you wish to bring a case

2020-12-30 23:31:09 UTC

or appear

2020-12-30 23:31:33 UTC

Exactly no different license required.

2020-12-30 23:31:33 UTC

I prefer my bars to be smooth, so I can slide drinks to the end without spilling...

2020-12-30 23:31:52 UTC

But you're still supposed to be ethical.

2020-12-30 23:32:49 UTC

There was some issues about Rudy being able to practice in front of certain circuit courts and needing an assist... So, it probably depends on the court.

2020-12-30 23:32:50 UTC

Im not sure honestly. I know that a younger lawyer that worked in my dad's firm had no problem appearing in a federal case. Just filed a motion and attached a copy of his State Lic

2020-12-30 23:32:50 UTC

General Lee speaking in society people are supposed to be honest and ethical.

2020-12-30 23:32:56 UTC

What you do outside of the courtroom usually isn't in the bar's scope, but there are exceptions.

2020-12-30 23:33:06 UTC

E.g: Attorney-client relationships.

2020-12-30 23:33:25 UTC

Getting all Confederate on us now???

2020-12-30 23:34:25 UTC

Right... now with States is for sure different. Like a lawyer licensed in TN cannot practice in say Georgia without a motion filed with the court and generally an attorney that is licensed in GA to agree to be "co counsel" if only in the very basic sense

2020-12-30 23:34:48 UTC

What?

2020-12-30 23:34:54 UTC

I'm pretty sure honesty is like a thing.

2020-12-30 23:35:02 UTC

The bar does however disbar people, if the conduct is egregious enough.

2020-12-30 23:35:10 UTC

Yeppers

2020-12-30 23:35:11 UTC

General Lee....

2020-12-30 23:35:25 UTC

Sup Guys

2020-12-30 23:35:30 UTC

It must have been a voice to text thing.

2020-12-30 23:35:31 UTC

I got that...

2020-12-30 23:35:33 UTC

It usually takes 1 egregious act and then showing no sign of getting better.

2020-12-30 23:35:45 UTC

And they suspend law licenses.

2020-12-30 23:35:47 UTC

likely speak to text.... by "generally" is always "General Lee"

2020-12-30 23:35:49 UTC

Like the medical field.

2020-12-30 23:35:56 UTC

It was I don't even know what happened..

2020-12-30 23:36:10 UTC

Generally = General Lee.

2020-12-30 23:36:23 UTC

I see now.

2020-12-30 23:37:06 UTC

@busillis Come on! That was Dad Joke comedy gold!

2020-12-30 23:37:34 UTC

That's been "canceled"

2020-12-30 23:38:07 UTC

IIRC General Lee was like, one of the few Confederate Generals that was respectable. Could be confused though.

2020-12-30 23:38:15 UTC

Right

2020-12-30 23:38:28 UTC

The Duke boys are terrorists.

2020-12-30 23:38:43 UTC
