Is sedition different. I haven't looked into it.

2020-12-31 03:39:20 UTC

no as bad as shooting them ... I mean you can release them from jail but it's kinda hard to un-shoot someone

2020-12-31 03:39:36 UTC

What if Republicans did that to democrats after 2016? I think it would have been awful.

2020-12-31 03:40:04 UTC

I don't think I want any party to have that sort of power.

2020-12-31 03:40:07 UTC

Keep reading in my comment.... :nd I get that is a matter of perspective as those on the other side think that is exactly what the Supreme Court of PA did...."

2020-12-31 03:41:36 UTC

I don't think it's a matter of perspective though, as I'm looking at both perspectives. I think it would have been bloody horrible if the Republicans did it, just as it would have been horrible if the Dems did it.

2020-12-31 03:41:46 UTC

It's not a precedent I want.

2020-12-31 03:42:01 UTC

I do really really think what Trump is doing with these Pardons should be a bigger deal. And I know that lots of Presidents have made some shady very shady pardons. I saw an old video of CNN of all networks ripping Clinton and new one for pardoning two guys... but I wasn't old enough to remember any of that

2020-12-31 03:42:06 UTC

Sedition is like encouraging rebellion. Treason is actively aiding enemies.

2020-12-31 03:42:14 UTC

I agree with you there.

2020-12-31 03:42:31 UTC

Trumps absolutely engaging in election interference quite boldly

2020-12-31 03:43:48 UTC

GUYS: I do not really believe that the guy who filed the lawsuit to Force Pence to declare Trump the winner should be tried with treason or sedition..... I said it in jest. It does not meet the definition of either of those offenses. It was still a super shady thing to do and not at all in line with democracy

2020-12-31 03:44:10 UTC

Agreed.

2020-12-31 03:44:20 UTC

Lindsay graham was even worse than that guy

2020-12-31 03:44:40 UTC

A bit as he was doing it in the shadows

2020-12-31 03:44:43 UTC

1) If there was a plan to steal the election, Clinton really let the cat out of the bag there. And she was not saying to never concede, she meant don't get pressured into it before you are sure that Trump actually won. And if not conceding is a sign of having cheated... well... Trump hasn't conceded.
2) Democrats have won the popular vote in every presidential election from 1992, except 2004, so it is well established that Dems outnumber Reps. Wanting to make it easier to vote during a pandemic is not a sign of wanting to commit fraud, it's a sign of wanting more people to vote... You don't need to cheat when you have the majority.
3) If verbal gaffes were an admission of guilt, Trump should be in jail. Trump supporters get bent out of shape when Dems say that Trump suggested that injecting bleach could treat CoVid or that he suggested his supporters should try to vote twice to test the system or any number of dozens of crazy things he's said. So, verbal gaffes are usually just gaffes, but maybe you are master psychiatrist and can tell the difference.
4) People have been raising concerns about eVoting machines that did not have paper backups. There was a huge bi-partisan push to get machines with paper ballots in place before the election because it makes vote flipping impossible and allows for risk limiting audits that mathematically confirm election accuracy up to 99.9%.
5) Not sure what Social Media alarms are, but I am pretty sure it wasn't Dems signaling a plan to rig an election.
6) Biden won the primary, because the Dems were united in wanting Trump to be voted out. That is why all Democrat challengers campaigned for Biden. They realized the infighting would result in a Trump victory and that would be worse. It's actually quite simple, Progressives would have been branded socialists & would have lost. The rest were unknowns and couldn't compete with Trump's popularity.
7) RWM was just as hard on Biden - not a sign of rigging an election, though.

2020-12-31 03:44:51 UTC

Lindsay Graham is a buffoon.

2020-12-31 03:45:39 UTC

He got caught though. You can’t call up a sec of state and ask them to cheat an election then lie about it.

2020-12-31 03:46:06 UTC

Wow, we agreed on some... I need to go check my temp, must be coming down with something

2020-12-31 03:46:22 UTC

@TaLoN132 I am curious which Republicans that you voted for and why. Also @meglide?

2020-12-31 03:46:48 UTC

Alarms = red flags , synonymous with concerning / problematic actions.

2020-12-31 03:49:03 UTC

For example: Creating a double bind in which a loss indicates rigging. Red flag.

2020-12-31 03:49:34 UTC

Social media is outside of dems with the election. I'm simply stating its common knowledge that swings in one direction and would be incredibly impactful on the election (no fraud necessary) that was outside of politics -- not accusing dem coordination, just the number of simultaneous problems that would serve to screw over a free and fair election.

2020-12-31 03:49:35 UTC

*8 months in advance and in the prior election as well

2020-12-31 03:49:43 UTC

Well said.... And look Trumpsters... we get it Biden was not the best option even of the Democratic Candidates. But he was the most ELECTABLE in this particular election. Which is why you saw everyone dropping out even after big showings like Mayor Pete.

Biden was not the first choice of most Democrats. Im not sure he was the 2nd choice of most Democrats. But we all recognized that he was... at least in this election... the most "electable" and that is why we voted for him.

2020-12-31 03:50:49 UTC

That certainly describes my position.

2020-12-31 03:50:53 UTC

This was the most polarized Americans have been in history, you could have put your mother's cat in Biden's place and likely came out with the same result. There has been no election where the average American was more involved in politics than this one.

2020-12-31 03:52:02 UTC

Every time you reveled in Trump triggering the democrats...that was another brick in the wall.

2020-12-31 03:53:04 UTC

Bathe in all the liberal tears you like. The divisiveness backfired.

2020-12-31 03:53:09 UTC

To me, it's completely unsurprising that Trump lost. 4 years of nothing but negative comments toward the administration from 80% of news outlets is going to get this sort of result.

2020-12-31 03:54:00 UTC

I will say this... I truly think Trump would have beaten Bernie. I really do. Too many Republicans who could justify voting for Biden would not only not have voted for Bernie but would have felt compelled to vote for Trump to keep Bernie out.

To me, the only way Trump had a shot of winning the electoral college was against Bernie. He would have still lost the Popular Vote by huge margins.

2020-12-31 03:54:02 UTC

I mean they kinda brought negative news coverage on themselves.

2020-12-31 03:54:31 UTC

That's irrelevant to the point.

2020-12-31 03:54:37 UTC

Fair coverage or not, the point stands.

2020-12-31 03:54:42 UTC

It's what Americans see.

2020-12-31 03:54:52 UTC

Depends on whose point tho.

2020-12-31 03:55:53 UTC

simple really I voted Libertarian where I had that option (for the most part, believe there was one I didn't care for) and Republican when I didn't have an option ... if I were in GA I would be interested in voting for both the Republican Senate candidates NOT because I care for them (none of the Senate candidates impress me in GA) but because I would prefer divided/gridlocked government to one-party take all government ... I've known for decades that I wouldn't vote for Trump for dog catcher much less President, his current behavior is pretty much why

2020-12-31 03:56:53 UTC

The average American voter that doesn't care about politics much and just hates hearing about Trump 24 hours a day.

2020-12-31 03:56:56 UTC

No, I dont think its irrelevant... When the story is that "7 Children Die in US Custody" or "Trump Administration Can't Find Parents of Over 600 Children in US Custody"..... Its just reporting the news.

So its less about negative stories and more about shitty terrible decisions and execution of plans by the Administration
