Then had a scuffle with law enforcement and left...quickly
Lol
Well, I told you not to put Bengay on the rim of his coffee cup!
Lol.
I know that area... Lived in Klamath Falls, OR for a few years and we camped at Shasta quite a bit.
Wow, crazy
During the Depression my grandpa worked as a logging foreman in upstate California. Had family down near Modesto. His sister was married to Mr. Petz that owned chunk of what is now I-5 through there.
@Whithers Every drive through the Tule Fog coming down into the Sacramento valley?
*Ever
I'm sure I have.
Is that the cattle farm?
I drove through it a long time ago... I used to drive until I came up on a tractor trailer and then draft until it cleared.
Where the sky gets dark for a few miles?
Tule Fog is a weather phenomenon... So think you can barely see the front of your car.
*Thick
Oh, I dont think so. But I remember a bad pile up one year.
I almost died so many times on the I-5
Horrible highway
Sloat is East of Quincy and West of Portola. In the Plumas National Forest area.
I usually glaze over somewhere between Sacramento and El BaƱo. It's a blur.
Well if you get lost in the woods NW of Reno you might find my cousins.
Ever make the drive from SoCal to Big Sur?
Haha
Along the coast...
Yup
Best drive in the country
Not by the name Big Sur. But I have gone from Compton to Newark in a 5 day turnaround.
Air freight flies on 18 wheels.
Have driven up 101/PCH many times. Used to stop in Carmel and Monterey. Lived in San Jose as a teenager. Used to drive to Santa Cruz to hang at the boardwalk all the time.
Who was the mayor of Carmel? Some actor.
Comin out of SanDiego, this one young driver piped up asking what was the best way to go straight from there to NY City. An older driver said dryly: "I always found an 8 ball did it for me."
Talk about an awful freeway, the 17 had its own dead mans curve on the way to Santa Cruz.
Hahaha
Go ahead... Make my day.
Yes!
Clint
Lol
@Benny2Toes, you just advanced to level 8!
Yall from CA are so lucky with all those beaches. Sound like you got to get on some dangerous interstates
Especially if you get stuck on one when the fire comes.
