Usually that requires flushing the coolant.

Depends on the car. And valve cover gasket changes are pretty cheap. especially if you do it yourself. I used to work in an auto-shop.

I swore off Chevy after I bought a BRAND NEW crate engine (350 Circle track) and it leaked oil before I even started it. It was a sealed engine, so would not have been an easy repair. 🤷‍♂️

LS engines are a different beast.

There is a reason so many people in the community think it's the engine from God.

I do like the old Chevelle.

LS engines have been around for a very long time, they're largely the same these days, because the design is so simple, fairly compact, and not over-engineered.

With a good bore/stroke.

And a really nice powerband.

Easy to fix and replace.

It's also why GM threw LS engines into a ton of different vehicles.
