I lost a few keyboards by spilling soda on it, but I'm not an alcoholic.

I also lost my favorite mouse to a spill of Peach Nehi.

I don't drink close to my PC/hardware

I literally sleep in front of my PC. It's the perk of having an HTPC on a coffee table in front of a couch.

But in the years since then, I've developed protocols to avoid those sorts of mishaps. I haven't had a spill since.

Mainly that I keep my drinks to the left of the keyboard if I have access to the middle of the couch, and ONLY to the right if I'm stuck on the right side. If I eat something large and potentially splashy like ramen/noodles, the keyboard goes onto the couch for it's safety.

The only reason I spilled my drinks on the keyboards/mice was when I had my drink to the right, when I was from the middle. This made my drink an obstacle when I reached for the mouse. Now, there's no problem.

I hit my keyboard on the table after losing a league match. A ton of the keys flew up and the keyboard had a small crack. It was a $40 keyboard.

I don't think I've ever had a keyboard that cost that much on it's own. But I'm currently using an old 25-year-old keyboard from my first computer, thinking about what keyboard I would like to upgrade to once I can free up enough money from the other things I need to buy.

This shit is pretty mindblowing.
I just found out my old mouse had completely wrecked mouse feet, compared to this it had insane drag.
I used to consider 800 eDPI to be way too fucking low, the new mouse glides so nicely on those fresh pads that it feels like 1000 eDPI, no problem whatsoever.
My only issue is that my clicks are slower than before, but maybe it's the shape, idk.

Lessons learned: take care of your mouse feet and replace them once they get all scratched up

(and buy a mouse that actually fits your hand right, unlike my old Logitech G305)
