Indeed it does
christmas canceled, puritans in charge
Who here thinks I should go on a mission trip to Africa? I might have an opportunity to go some time in the next couple years.
I don’t think they even exist as a branch anymore
I wouldn’t go. But that’s just me. Plenty of our people here who need it.
Go to rural Appalachia and do a relief effort there
In my family they joined the Episcopal church
@Der Seeteufel - SD christianize them so they can immigrate to Poland cause they're "Christian"
The Southern Baptist Church of Kentucky always has an Appalachian outreach program every year
I do mission work here. I just would really like to go see Africa for myself. Also I'm German Lutheran so Poles aren't exactly big fans.
Keep in mind... the more we feed them... the more there are who become dependent. The more dependent they get, once that source is cut off, they flock to Europe
mission work from any group usually just opens the door for foreigners to want to immigrate
Not to mention if we artificially inflate their population numbers they also causes them to flood into Europe
We feed them with Living Bread. We once helped one start a farm but my Synod doesn't do food aid.
This is a tough one
I'd say lots of the issues in Africa today are only fueled by missionary work
Africa would be cool to go to though
I’m trying not to be too vulgar here
^
This is an issue I have to tiptoe around
I’ve been to Africa several times. It’s worse than you can imagine. The ultimate black pill.
But certain things just don’t work.
The Romans were further along than the vast majority of the dark continent. I saw this with my own eyes. My film crew had to be evacuated because of a stoning.
I’m just going to step back from this convo before it causes trouble.
They buried the woman and left only her head and her baby. Both were stoned. We were immediately pulled out. Awful.
Goodnight everybody. God bless
UNESCO wouldn’t let us film. They demanded we leave for our safety.
@Ian The Romans were miles ahead. Africans to this day haven't invented the wheel.
But...but...every civilization is equal!
@Der Seeteufel - SD The sad truth
My notions of equality died in Uganda
my ROTC instructor was telling me about how he had to deal with cannibals in the Congo
My philosophy though is that even if we were as they are... I still would love our people
Just not worth it. I’d stay in America
Did Moly answer my question?
In Madagascar they had to publish a public service announcement to stop breaking the heads of bald people open. Folklore say their heads are full of gold
I’m not even kidding either
@Ecarttev he skipped it and others as far as im aware, i sent one telling him he missed it
I thought that was albinos
he read mine on BAP though
