but im so darn happy to see that the things have tied between Nvidia and AMD
how have things tied
nvidia still has multiple GPUs that outperform it
tied that reference copy/press model and drivers can easily challenge nvidias same price range stuff and at times even beat them
id call that a tie
money:performance
the radeon vii and 2080 are not money:performance leaders
if you want money:performance you buy a 1050/1060 or an rx570 or something
i know
they are flagships
and tie in their money:performance value for person who wants that "best"
also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpXGEm0JFfw funny stuff apparently to try overclock that card :D
>65k °C core temp
typical amd <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
but nothing matters it still wont run Arma 3 on 4k ultra at 120fps
;_;
RTX 2080 Ti and Intel i7-9700K can barely do 70 on that fucking shitty piece of unoptimized fuck
Imagine Arma 4 on Vulkan
But then again it would require competent developers to greatly optimize it, although some dude from id apparently did the Doom port to Vulkan on his own (iirc)
hahahaha apparently RTX 2080 TI + i9 9900k in 1440p can do barely 80fps*
Wonder if it will be just like with Crysis 1 that no matter what hardware you will go for, even if it's overkill, it will still not be enough due to the engine/poor optimizations
quite possible
apparently similar setup does 60~80fps on crysis 1
lel
(4K | RTX 2080 Ti | i7 8700K 5.3GHz)
gets me about 100 fps
in a 90 players KOTH game
average or peak
average ish
with ddr4-3800 mem
without an overclock on the cpu
just disabled tdp limits
or rather, ddr4-3600 overclocked to 3800
corsair is offering to replace my faulty AX860i with a HX1000i <:wholesomethonk:373550351082848267>
i can't find what's the difference between AXi and HXi tho
ax860i is low end flextronics (high quality psu)
hx1000i is a Corsair custom design
hx seems more efficient according to tweaktown but worse ripple wise, but still plenty good
AXi is higher end than HXi
