what is not that weird considering drivers and game studios supporting it

what i was mostly suprised to tho is that it did worse on witcher 3 (Tho its nvidia favoring game) than it did on metro last light

but yeah over benchmarks seem to be that they lose to 2080 by hair on some situations

hoping that if /when amd comes to their senses and enables full FP64 and gets their driver updated

it will be even better

but im so darn happy to see that the things have tied between Nvidia and AMD

how have things tied

nvidia still has multiple GPUs that outperform it

tied that reference copy/press model and drivers can easily challenge nvidias same price range stuff and at times even beat them

id call that a tie

money:performance

the radeon vii and 2080 are not money:performance leaders

if you want money:performance you buy a 1050/1060 or an rx570 or something

i know

they are flagships

and tie in their money:performance value for person who wants that "best"

But then again it would require competent developers to greatly optimize it, although some dude from id apparently did the Doom port to Vulkan on his own (iirc)
