I got an email today from a local rep. It was a poll. I deleted it without a second thought.
These things can’t be accurate.

well, it's different because politicians just send out polls to people they already know support them
actual polling companies try to get a representative sample of likely voters based on demographics or whatever

I get "polls" from Trump all the time
It's actually all a lot faker than you think. Polls are used as much to shape opinions as they are used to determine opinions. It's classic bandwagon psychology.
your representative probably thought you're unlikely to support the wall, sent you a poll so you could say you don't, and then be like "oh haha what a coincidence I don't either you should give me money" @Evan

it's even worse begging
they'll send fundraising emails with subject lines like "ALL HOPE IS LOST"
and the body is just pleading for money
it's incredibly pathetic

What is their deal. They even have their own tumblr for all those pathetic emails.
I’ve always wanted to be on one of the dem texts lists. The ones that send the zombies out to protest something they know nothing about.
German polls seem to be decent at predicting election results, although they seem to underestimate AfD. AfD falling from an all-time high of 18.5 to 13% seems significant.
I think the true intentions of the AFD have come into question.
