you guys dont recall when it automatically scraped reviews from the thread and people on 4chan abused it?
Here's a thought: don't scrape from 4chan at all, dumbass
That's totally unnecessary
And yes, exploitable
Let users post reviews there, and delete things as necessary.
It works for <#287939846662651906> just fine.
Why over complicate things with porcos retarded bot? It makes no sense
Get your head out of your ass, smh
its a pretty cool bot
There is no reason to keep the review channel locked other than laziness on the moderation team's part. You can dress that fact up if you'd like, But It is what it is.
Definitely would like to see a new infographic to make sure i'm not too dumb buying some of this stuff infographic feels outdated and I would like to contribute to an updated infographic
Dear, please write a review in the thread, then grovel at the moderators' feet to get them to stop sucking dick for long enough to add it to the review channel.
It is the simplest solution!
matthew you are trying to reason with moderators of this channel youd have more productive time bashing your head against vending machine wall
Can I suggest a middle-ground option? Open it up to post, but have a few only reasonably retarded regulars kinda help moderate it. Make a bot that lets a few regulars vote-delete a post via emotes. Emotes provide semi-public voting without spam, and if it's a threshold thing it'll be hard for us to fuck up or let one person meme on.
"but that would be extra work"
Once though, vs continuous
"But that would be ~~extra~~ work"

Like, I don't want Matthew moderating, but having Matthew have a vote on moderation is reasonable
at times i wish we were at aether instead :P that would be whole lot of interesting
Aether?
That's weird, awesome, and terrible
indeed and funniest part of it : it works ... kind of
But it's a tiny niche thing, right?
If it got big it would be brigaded too much
Look at Reddit and srs
well no and yes .. its not mass adopted due moderators want to keep their power
but certain groups use it successfully
even 4chan based groups manage to live in there without problems
I think that's part of what the problem is here.
Mods want to keep their power, but don't *actually* want to improve this community.
They're mods because they're mods, not because they're the best people for the position.
tho given its hard to point best people to that position from channels full of randoms
As always, Democracy is the best solution 🇺🇸
in current moderation teams case it was kind of inherited position who were up to date on channel things and active back then
when we finaly got the MIA room owner to come give powers
@Deleted User but in all seriousness there is few decent chink warming sticks":D"
