mods can manually stick reviews in there by post number but you'd have to ask porco

2019-04-10 02:44:59 UTC

you guys dont recall when it automatically scraped reviews from the thread and people on 4chan abused it?

2019-04-10 02:45:25 UTC

Here's a thought: don't scrape from 4chan at all, dumbass

2019-04-10 02:45:37 UTC

That's totally unnecessary

2019-04-10 02:45:41 UTC

And yes, exploitable

2019-04-10 02:45:55 UTC

Let users post reviews there, and delete things as necessary.

2019-04-10 02:46:02 UTC

It works for <#287939846662651906> just fine.

2019-04-10 02:46:18 UTC

Why over complicate things with porcos retarded bot? It makes no sense

2019-04-10 02:46:25 UTC

Get your head out of your ass, smh

2019-04-10 02:46:33 UTC

its a pretty cool bot

2019-04-10 02:47:57 UTC

There is no reason to keep the review channel locked other than laziness on the moderation team's part. You can dress that fact up if you'd like, But It is what it is.

2019-04-10 03:04:07 UTC

Definitely would like to see a new infographic to make sure i'm not too dumb buying some of this stuff infographic feels outdated and I would like to contribute to an updated infographic

2019-04-10 03:09:22 UTC

Dear, please write a review in the thread, then grovel at the moderators' feet to get them to stop sucking dick for long enough to add it to the review channel.

2019-04-10 03:09:30 UTC

It is the simplest solution!

2019-04-10 03:33:12 UTC

matthew you are trying to reason with moderators of this channel youd have more productive time bashing your head against vending machine wall

2019-04-10 03:44:13 UTC

Can I suggest a middle-ground option? Open it up to post, but have a few only reasonably retarded regulars kinda help moderate it. Make a bot that lets a few regulars vote-delete a post via emotes. Emotes provide semi-public voting without spam, and if it's a threshold thing it'll be hard for us to fuck up or let one person meme on.

2019-04-10 03:45:25 UTC

"but that would be extra work"

2019-04-10 03:45:41 UTC

Once though, vs continuous

2019-04-10 03:45:48 UTC

"But that would be ~~extra~~ work"

2019-04-10 03:45:52 UTC

Ftfy

2019-04-10 03:45:54 UTC

^

2019-04-10 03:46:07 UTC

It's a good idea, though.

2019-04-10 03:46:39 UTC

Like, I don't want Matthew moderating, but having Matthew have a vote on moderation is reasonable

2019-04-10 03:46:49 UTC

at times i wish we were at aether instead :P that would be whole lot of interesting

2019-04-10 03:46:57 UTC

Aether?

2019-04-10 03:53:41 UTC

That's weird, awesome, and terrible

2019-04-10 03:53:56 UTC

indeed and funniest part of it : it works ... kind of

2019-04-10 03:54:40 UTC

But it's a tiny niche thing, right?

2019-04-10 03:54:49 UTC

If it got big it would be brigaded too much

2019-04-10 03:54:55 UTC

Look at Reddit and srs

2019-04-10 03:54:59 UTC

well no and yes .. its not mass adopted due moderators want to keep their power

2019-04-10 03:55:21 UTC

but certain groups use it successfully

2019-04-10 03:55:47 UTC

even 4chan based groups manage to live in there without problems

2019-04-10 03:56:51 UTC

I think that's part of what the problem is here.

2019-04-10 03:57:10 UTC

Mods want to keep their power, but don't *actually* want to improve this community.

2019-04-10 03:57:59 UTC

They're mods because they're mods, not because they're the best people for the position.

2019-04-10 04:09:26 UTC

tho given its hard to point best people to that position from channels full of randoms

2019-04-10 04:14:21 UTC

As always, Democracy is the best solution 🇺🇸

2019-04-10 04:14:49 UTC

in current moderation teams case it was kind of inherited position who were up to date on channel things and active back then

2019-04-10 04:15:13 UTC

when we finaly got the MIA room owner to come give powers
