And He said, “Your name is no longer called Ya‛aqoḇ, but Yisra’ěl,

2019-07-10 02:36:03 UTC

What the real names were. Transliteration is false and very wrong and evil to do.

2019-07-10 02:38:12 UTC

The KJV lies when they call that translation.

2019-07-10 02:38:45 UTC

We call Netanyahu just that. We do not transliterate the name into some English name.

2019-07-10 02:38:49 UTC

people always say things like that, but it's just translations

2019-07-10 02:39:12 UTC

the only "lie" i can think of it using "the LORD" instead of God's name.

2019-07-10 02:39:22 UTC

No Transliteration. Not translation. They admit it was transliteration. I say that is evil.

2019-07-10 02:40:10 UTC

so using letters not in other alphabets is evil

2019-07-10 02:40:12 UTC

wut

2019-07-10 02:40:19 UTC

Call Netanyahu Nathan and see how that goes.

2019-07-10 02:40:25 UTC

it's how people would pronounce things differently

2019-07-10 02:40:51 UTC

How is it so hard to say Yahcob or Yisrael?

2019-07-10 02:41:28 UTC

Yaakov you mean

2019-07-10 02:42:22 UTC

it's pronounciation of words used by people over time that has changed

2019-07-10 02:42:45 UTC

that isn;t evil

2019-07-10 02:43:01 UTC

Most likely pronounced Yahcob. I would have no problem if they translated it properly.

2019-07-10 02:45:48 UTC

the hebrew letter Bet is pronounced as a B when used in the front of a word and as a V when at the back of a word

2019-07-10 02:47:13 UTC

But they know full well that Jacob was not what it was. They know full well Yisrael. Yet they transliterate anyway. They even change Iakob (Jacob) to James to honor King James. Who else are they honoring?

2019-07-10 02:47:50 UTC

really? to honor King James?

2019-07-10 02:47:57 UTC

have you read any older bible than KJV

2019-07-10 02:48:21 UTC

Now I understand it could be Jacob or Iacob because it is hard to know I or J as originally they were the same letter.

2019-07-10 02:48:27 UTC

it's simply the pronounciations changing over the years as languages changed, the 1526 Tyndale has the names all different too

2019-07-10 02:48:44 UTC

Changing Jacob to James. Come on.

2019-07-10 02:49:01 UTC

time passes and pronounciations of words change as time progresses because of languages

2019-07-10 02:49:16 UTC

King James. Come on be reasonable.

2019-07-10 02:49:43 UTC

this hebrew word movement is a distraction to keep you focused on that rather than more pressing matters

2019-07-10 02:50:18 UTC

to jews you become as a jew, to gentiles you become as a gentile

2019-07-10 02:50:24 UTC

this is a pointless debate

2019-07-10 02:51:34 UTC

Should I go to church this week?

2019-07-10 02:51:40 UTC

I suppose. It is of little real importance.

2019-07-10 02:52:08 UTC

depends what your church teaches

2019-07-10 02:52:18 UTC

I think the nearest one is Baptist

2019-07-10 02:52:21 UTC

if it is teaching you God is a three person being, then no

2019-07-10 02:53:05 UTC

you are better off reading the bible itself

2019-07-10 02:53:09 UTC

I think Church is good. A decent place to learn. Just remember they preach what they personally believe. It may not be truth. But it should be good for you.

2019-07-10 02:54:26 UTC

Well I agree. Like I said they will teach their personal beliefs. As long as you understand that and do not consider them a truth source just a helper they should be able to help you.

2019-07-10 02:54:40 UTC

I think Bible Study is often better than sermons.

2019-07-10 02:55:53 UTC

three person being: the father, the ghost, and the Holy Spirit?
