have you read any older bible than KJV
Now I understand it could be Jacob or Iacob because it is hard to know I or J as originally they were the same letter.
it's simply the pronounciations changing over the years as languages changed, the 1526 Tyndale has the names all different too
Changing Jacob to James. Come on.
time passes and pronounciations of words change as time progresses because of languages
King James. Come on be reasonable.
this hebrew word movement is a distraction to keep you focused on that rather than more pressing matters
to jews you become as a jew, to gentiles you become as a gentile
this is a pointless debate
In Greek
H3290
יַעֲקֹב
ya‛ăqôb
Jacob.
Should I go to church this week?
I suppose. It is of little real importance.
depends what your church teaches
I think the nearest one is Baptist
if it is teaching you God is a three person being, then no
you are better off reading the bible itself
I think Church is good. A decent place to learn. Just remember they preach what they personally believe. It may not be truth. But it should be good for you.
Well I agree. Like I said they will teach their personal beliefs. As long as you understand that and do not consider them a truth source just a helper they should be able to help you.
I think Bible Study is often better than sermons.
or father, son, Holy Spirit ?
Yes. In John 14 and 17 Jesus was clear we are One. Not three.
Three is contrived by later Church Fathers. It is not in the New Testament. Origin brought over from his pagan beliefs.
Possibly changed a few verses so they now say Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
In Hinduism, God is a Trinity composed of Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the sustainer), and Shiva (the destroyer)—a self-governed universe.
hinduism is false
you will notice all the false religions have a trinity god
the bible never promotes a trinity
doesn't christianity associate with the holy trinity
father son holy spirit
it isn't a biblical doctrine, it is catholic
Matthew 28:19
**Matthew 28:19 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
<19> Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ```
in the name of, with Authority from
alright
also, the hebrew matthew 28 19 says Go
and thats it
every other instance of Baptism in the bible is in the name of Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38
**Acts 2:38 - King James Version (KJV)**
```Dust
<38> Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ```
