@Right Bauer Amazon runs the post office now.

2019-02-18 00:46:48 UTC

Why do you think they deliver on Sundays?

2019-02-18 00:48:10 UTC

I had a really funny red pill moment with my dad recently. I was telling him how America is just a huge shopping mall and is kind of a joke and without skipping a beat he was like "you know...yeah. Yeah it is"

2019-02-18 00:48:27 UTC

Just an economic interest zone at this point

2019-02-18 00:48:55 UTC

Our identity is whether you're a Pepsi or a Coke person

2019-02-18 00:49:04 UTC

With open borders and international free market might as well just sell the whole population into slavery.

2019-02-18 00:49:12 UTC

E. Michael Jones says "the big gay disco and the military to expand it"

2019-02-18 00:49:27 UTC

No offense to service men. We all know the difference between soldiers and the MI complex.

2019-02-18 00:51:35 UTC

Yeah that's what's a huge bummer is I respect military people a lot cause I definitely don't wanna do that haha so god bless them

2019-02-18 00:52:37 UTC

The only time I get emotional watching a movie is when it's a war movie where soldiers are doing really heroic stuff.

2019-02-18 00:52:46 UTC

I'm just like *sniff* hell yeah dude...

2019-02-18 00:54:40 UTC

Like we have the best military in the world and some of the most dedicated troops, but of all places to go waste blood and treasure for 15 years, Afghanistan?

2019-02-18 00:55:06 UTC

My dad literally said America is a country for everyone šŸ˜©

2019-02-18 00:55:17 UTC

gross

2019-02-18 00:56:19 UTC

Going back to the conspiracy theory subject

2019-02-18 00:56:29 UTC

Thereā€™s people who think that the atomic bomb is a hoax

2019-02-18 00:57:01 UTC

I was watching a war documentary on that war ( I think the one on the Korengal Valley) and the troops said they say they get ambushed next to where shell casings are from when the British Empire was.

2019-02-18 00:58:08 UTC

@DixieBoy76 - KY It *would* solve a lot of problems if that were true. Wishful thinking

2019-02-18 00:58:23 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN That would be my guess.

2019-02-18 00:58:51 UTC

People just like to *believe* in conspiracy theories

2019-02-18 00:59:25 UTC

most people who believe in conspiracy theories just think conspiracy theories are fun and find ways to justify them after the fact

2019-02-18 01:00:27 UTC

It doesnā€™t matter how silly. It often times consumes them. This is how I view the people who blame literally everything on the Jews. Like, yes. I get it, Jews have a disproportionate representation in certain fields. We all agree on that. But to say that theyā€™re some superhuman race that controls the strings on every major world event is simply *wishful thinking*. Why do I say wishful thinking? Because for them, it gives them an excuse to believe that this isnā€™t somehow our own fault too.

2019-02-18 01:01:28 UTC

I mean, imagine how society would change (both for worse and better) if there was someway to prove that the world couldn't be destroyed, or that certain nations weren't practically invincible. Borders would start changing all over the place.

I think cold war nuke fear is a big part of the nihilism of Boomers & X'er s. Climate Change has supplanted / supplemented that nihilism for Millenials and Zoomers

2019-02-18 01:02:19 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Thatā€™s a fascinating way to look at it. Never thought about it that way. Iā€™m sure itā€™s a variety of reasons, but thatā€™s a factor Iā€™m sure.

2019-02-18 01:06:17 UTC

A lot of baby boomers do seem very apathetic. But I think that itā€™s for a variety of reasons. However, your hypothesis does seem to be confirmed by the fact that a lot of boomers are mentally trapped in the age of the Cold War.

2019-02-18 01:06:29 UTC

seriously though has anyone's parents said something worse than "this country belongs to no one, it's for everyone"?

2019-02-18 01:06:59 UTC

@Jacob Not really, but I do pity you. Keep your chin up.

2019-02-18 01:07:27 UTC

haha I just don't bother trying to debate politics with him

2019-02-18 01:07:41 UTC

Maybe go the Jared Taylor route and just try to agree on small things like the ā€œpress 1 for Englishā€. I mentioned that to my mom and it started off a really good dialogue.

2019-02-18 01:08:00 UTC

oh I'm sure my dad loves being able to choose different languages on the phone

2019-02-18 01:08:05 UTC

As much as leftists get made fun of for the ā€œdialogueā€ meme, dialogue is important.

2019-02-18 01:08:32 UTC

I agree with what Mr Taylor said, but with my parents in particular there's literally no point

2019-02-18 01:08:44 UTC

I have nothing to gain from trying with them

2019-02-18 01:09:33 UTC

there's always going to be some people that you just can't convert

2019-02-18 01:10:05 UTC

I think that overall debating isnā€™t something that should be done between family members. Thatā€™s how I was raised anyway.

2019-02-18 01:11:10 UTC

We focus on loving one another and strengthening our bonds and just enjoying being related. Or thatā€™s what I try to do.

2019-02-18 01:11:25 UTC

I don't really have an opinion on that because my only "family members" are my parents

2019-02-18 01:11:54 UTC

And we don't really get along for non-political reasons

2019-02-18 01:12:12 UTC

Iā€™m sorry to hear that brother. Iā€™ll pray for yā€™all.

2019-02-18 01:13:01 UTC

Thanks

2019-02-18 01:13:25 UTC

And if you ever need anything feel free to reach out fam. Weā€™re a big family here.
