Real brainlet hours on my part I guess
Sweden is only wealthy because of all the diverse migrants they brought in
That's why people say immigrants "grow the economy". It's technically true, but they grow it by increasing the amount of people so it really doesn't make people already here much richer or poorer. @DixieBoy76 - KY
sweden is wealthy from all the gold they plundered during the viking age
More people generally means more wealth because people create wealth
All those law enforcement jobs. That is why America is rich because of our amazing prison complex jobs
Hinga Dinga Durgen
But it doesn't mean more wealth *per capita*
Retards who don't understand per capita genuinely think this means immigrants make us rich
Immigrants do generate wealth, problem is they funnel it more to the elites who employ them.
What about all the social services they drain tho?
Sweden is very very resource rich. Read that in a book I'm reading. Also they weren't that well off economically until recently. Learned that from an article I read.
Lol
@DeusVolk Research has generally shown the increase in per capita GDP generated by immigrants to be miniscule
Yes, you're right, most of the increase does go to the employers and the immigrants themselves
But even if it did go to native born workers, it's such a small increase that it wouldn't really matter
Even the increase in wages for complementary workers caused by immigrants is small enough to be offset by the fiscal drain found by adding up federal, state, and local budgets. So basically any way you twist it immigrants suck for vast majority of Americans.
I have sources if anyone needs them btw
Yes, that's another very good point. A lot of people think it's contradictory to say that it harms both the sending and receiving country, but it really isn't. Even skilled immigration is harmful due to the fact that it disincentivizes investment in education in the receiving country, while the sending country loses professionals that they already have a difficult time educating.
North and South America have something like 10 times the amount of health workers per capita compared to Africa
The double think present in the mainstream narrative is infuriating
Absolutely. But it's not that difficult to refute even with basic knowledge.
I would argue that it is because it’s largely faith based and sometimes unfalsifiable the way normies present it
Black lady Physics dance party time!
In all fairness, Turning Point Britain came in clutch
Well, to determine the effects of immigration on a more specific level, it's important to look at specific sectors. Subcons are disproportionately concentrated in similar jobs, for example, computer science, meaning that if you disaggregate by sector, there is going to be a significant negative wage impact in those sectors. Programmer salaries have taken a pretty big hit. If you *don't* disaggregate, the data can make it *seem* like immigration actually helps, however, this is because they raise wages for management and a little bit for complementary workers.
But I think the biggest economic damage from subcon and Asian immigration comes from the fact that bringing in skilled workers is a strong disincentive for investment in education. If we cut off the H1B supply, corporations would essentially be forced to partner with schools to help them develop programs for computer science and the like. They might even be forced to partner with high schools to improve their tech education. @Nemets
Nobody hates Asian immigrants as much as the kids of Asian immigrants I’ve talked to lol they really do seem to feel the negative impact of it
wow I have more studies than I thought
Is this... Is this just a link server now? 😂
@Nemets anyway, here is some research that might be useful for subcon immigration
I have way more than I thought, so if you want more I can DM them
