It's funny that the media shows us a world where the US is seen as a "world police", but many many people I've talked to out of the country know exactly who's pulling americas strings. While still many stateside are completely clueless to the idea.

@Jordan - MD Hmmmm. Normally what I would tell you is that it's not antithetical for it to be bad for both countries. While one country loses due to brain drain, the other country loses due the losing the incentive to educate their own workers. *However*, Poland right now has a lot of skilled workers leaving, so it *could* benefit from limited immigration of culturally similar skilled workers.

Though, the culturally similar part is important. Germans are obviously preferable to Filipinos, though I still don't think it would be worth it due to the fact that is still is a different culture and would likely be bad for social cohesion.

I'd say Poland could benefit a lot of Polaks abroad coming back.
