brain drain is a very good argument

2019-02-20 06:16:20 UTC

we should throw all the narratives out there and see what sticks

2019-02-20 06:16:27 UTC

It's essentially the perfect storm from start to finish to harm white people. The drug companies are motivated to make addictive treatments (not cures), the doctors are motivated to prescribe the treatments that make them the most kickback benefits from pharma companies (and return patient visits?), and a society that *cannot* admit white people are a group deserving of compassion and help.

2019-02-20 06:17:14 UTC

white people not being willing to help out poor white people while preferring africans was a theme back in 1920

2019-02-20 06:17:15 UTC

@Jordan - MD I've seen the brain drain argument used, but have not seen any minds changed by it, in that moment/argument.

2019-02-20 06:17:58 UTC

@Perihelion - CA oh God and they go out of their way to do it, too

2019-02-20 06:17:59 UTC

It somehow always comes back to "needing" the people to fill positions

2019-02-20 06:18:11 UTC

When American brains move to India, white people will wake up and claim their land.

2019-02-20 06:18:11 UTC

I'm surprised that it's observably ineffective at changing minds in the moment because I feel like even if you were talking to a social justice Warrior, talking about being unfair to an African nation is something they seem like they would be very into

2019-02-20 06:18:22 UTC

My dad has gone on multiple trips to volunteer in central America. Like, don't your own people need help?

2019-02-20 06:18:38 UTC

They would argue that you are bringing forth the brain drain argument in bad faith and that you just want to make the country whiter.

2019-02-20 06:19:00 UTC

it's easier to imagine people you don't deal with often are innocent victims rather than tied up in their own problems

2019-02-20 06:19:04 UTC

I would argue, who cares if I'm saying it in bad faith, the argument is equally valid

2019-02-20 06:19:04 UTC

@Freiheit - CA actual brains, in jars?

2019-02-20 06:19:05 UTC

Fair but they have no idea what angle you're coming at if you're just a random person on the Internet or something, so maybe it would be more effective not face-to-face lol

2019-02-20 06:19:14 UTC

The brain drain argument only makes sense when America becomes the third world.

2019-02-20 06:19:20 UTC
2019-02-20 06:19:43 UTC

People simply can't grasp that there's also nothing really wrong with economic contraction. If there's a labor shortage, so what? Wages go up? Prices of real estate fall? Where exactly is the damage occurring? Top-end incomes aren't as padded?

2019-02-20 06:20:06 UTC

@olly-CA no the investing class understands it perfectly

2019-02-20 06:20:15 UTC

2019-02-20 06:20:22 UTC

They love this argument for open borders as well, there is almost a total consensus between economists of all disciplines, that entirely open borders would see global GDP increase by 50% by the end of the decade.

2019-02-20 06:20:29 UTC

To be honest, though, I don't even use the brain drain argument in bad faith. Part of the reason I'm so anti-immigration is the effect it has on Eastern Europe.

2019-02-20 06:20:57 UTC

East Germany is starting to move into Eastern Erope

2019-02-20 06:21:06 UTC

wait what?

2019-02-20 06:21:14 UTC

brain drain is about to be in their favor if they keep up the anti muslim laws

2019-02-20 06:21:29 UTC

not sure what you mean by that

2019-02-20 06:21:30 UTC

Oh wow

2019-02-20 06:21:57 UTC

It means that a lot of Eastern Germany feels comfortable enough in order to move into Eastern Europe to escape the onslaught of muslims. So Eastern Europe will benefit because, if I recall correctly, Germany has a higher average IQ. Even more than that, a better economic situation to further citizens academics. So they will get a lot of skilled labor in Eastern Europe. Germany will lose that skilled workforce and suffer for it.

2019-02-20 06:23:41 UTC

Brain drain is a result of both push and pull factors. Push because higher-skilled/specialist professions often pay very poorly in less developed countries so there is less incentive to stay. Pull because of the very high (perhaps inflated) salaries the same jobs draw in more developed countries.

2019-02-20 06:24:11 UTC

And those same pull factor countries often create targetted incentives to snag those more talented people.

2019-02-20 06:24:22 UTC

I've never thought about that before but I'm not surprised many Germans are leaving.

2019-02-20 06:24:33 UTC

We have a huge landmass and plenty of people needing skilled labour, with big brains. It is as you said @wolfwood , a perfect anti-white storm.

2019-02-20 06:24:46 UTC

Doctors move where they can work.

2019-02-20 06:25:03 UTC

We won't lose brains until there is a "better America". Imho

2019-02-20 06:25:23 UTC

It's all $$$

2019-02-20 06:25:45 UTC

Yeah:

2019-02-20 06:26:14 UTC

I keep thinking if we just keep trolling the world enough they'll eventually just give us our own containment country to be rid of us

2019-02-20 06:26:25 UTC

If people start thinking "I want to work hard to better the lives of my countrymen and community" instead of "I want to study hard so I can make a lot of money" then we will head in the right direction.

2019-02-20 06:26:45 UTC

It's worked before... @Perihelion - CA

2019-02-20 06:26:53 UTC

containment board nationalism

2019-02-20 06:27:24 UTC

@wolfwood correct, but we can't change how people are raised unless we raise our own people. We all need 10 kids.
