Citizen i dont think we have the knowledge to explain or reasons to believe any of einsteins annoying stuff. But we can support it without his presence here

2019-06-15 00:31:37 UTC

Hey @the21cat wanna have a debate

2019-06-15 00:31:46 UTC

It's certainly completely irrelevant for a flat earth debate server

2019-06-15 00:32:04 UTC

The evidence for it is related to atomic clocks, satelites...etc....

2019-06-15 00:32:25 UTC

No need to go that far into theoretical physics if you think it's all a conspiracy

2019-06-15 00:33:45 UTC

It's actually a red herring because of this, no need to find the exact description of the universe which explains gravity

2019-06-15 01:38:18 UTC

Why. We are in the same side. Its gonna be pretty one sided

2019-06-15 06:34:36 UTC

@Albert Einstein You can't use an assertion as evidence of anything.

2019-06-15 08:17:25 UTC

.

2019-06-15 09:13:48 UTC

Just because it so complicated and pretty much all the related evidence would be counted as part of the conspiracy, to say that either: we defend general relativity, or we have to just accept gravity isn't real is a false dichotomy.

2019-06-15 09:14:35 UTC

We can easily defend the idea that between two masses there will be a measurable force without having to prove Einstein's ideas because those are more accurate in some situations.

2019-06-15 09:16:29 UTC

@Citizen Z Im not your physics teacher to explain you space time. It bends under a heavy gravitational force. If you deny the gravity itself, it cant be explained

2019-06-15 13:13:52 UTC

K prove it @Sausage

2019-06-15 15:27:47 UTC

Sausage.. lets see those proofs again pleeeze ?

2019-06-15 16:05:44 UTC

Wikipedia explains it quite nicely somehow https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tests_of_general_relativity

2019-06-15 17:57:42 UTC

@Albert Einstein Cavendish experiment. Pretty sure not conducted by Einstein

2019-06-15 18:14:02 UTC

My main point is really that saying we need prove some advanced concept like general relativity to say masses attract is like saying we need to prove every facet of quantumelectrodynamics to say magnets are a thing

2019-06-15 18:14:30 UTC

It's just a way for flat earthers do dismiss gravity

2019-06-15 20:28:08 UTC

Agreed ^

2019-06-15 22:05:24 UTC

also agreed ^^

2019-06-15 22:30:13 UTC

When someone says believe this because I say this. Religion.

2019-06-15 22:31:34 UTC

Mass to mass attraction is just an assumption till proven. It should not be that difficult to perform such a test. So since they have never proven it through test it really makes me wonder is it even a real thing.

2019-06-15 22:33:41 UTC

Just take two massive stones on a very slippery surface and do they attract each other. But so far every test has failed to prove it is real.

2019-06-15 22:36:33 UTC

You have to make sure it is not magnetic attraction or electrical attraction but this kind of thing is easily tested with instruments. They spend millions on testing. Yet this test has never been done with success.

2019-06-15 22:44:44 UTC

Wakypedia is just whacked. Indoctrination i would call it. They are all over the place. Regardless.

They claim light is deflected by the sun. Yet they also claim light is not matter. So if not matter how is it attracted? Well now they say light is some kind of combination of matter and rays. I mean how are they really to be believed when they drastically change things yet both times expect you to believe what they claim.

They have even done a test on light and it seems like it sees it is being tested so reacts differently than when not being tested. Seems to me they really have no real clue what light really is.

2019-06-15 22:49:19 UTC

They say there is a pure vacuum in space. OK. Fine. Well I love my vacuum jug. It keeps my tea warm for hours and my soda cold for hours because heat does not transfer through a vacuum. These are not anything near a pure vacuum. So OK. Space. Pure Vacuum. The most perfect Vacuum jug in existence. Light will transfer heat even in a vacuum. What it hits will heat up. So seems to me that were there any space object it would quickly raise to temperatures so high it would melt. No way to cool it down by transferring heat I know of. Your AC gives off heat outside and cold inside. How it works. So how do you make this work with no air to transfer the heat. The fan on your AC keeps the coil less hot.

2019-06-15 22:51:54 UTC

Maybe i am getting this wrong. If you have any thoughts I would love to hear them.

Mass to Mass should be easily tested on earth in a lab or on a college lab even. Yet there is no such test.

2019-06-16 00:07:02 UTC

😱

2019-06-16 00:07:06 UTC

😂

2019-06-16 01:43:16 UTC

@Steve Angell the only issue is that everything we can use has such a small amount of gravitational pull that it is negligible. the only way to show true gravitational attraction between two objects is to directly see 2 particles individually attract each other, because they have enough effect on each other to attract. alot of things, on the quantum level, attract each other, such as particles and anti particles.

2019-06-16 01:43:40 UTC

even humans have graviational pull but it is so small that would wouldnt be able to test, or even be able to be affected by it

2019-06-16 01:47:41 UTC

and light "deflected?" by the sun?

2019-06-16 01:47:44 UTC

no

2019-06-16 01:48:29 UTC

light was originally, through GR shows to be a wave and a particle, except it is a massless particle

2019-06-16 01:49:12 UTC

and space as a vacuum isnt like a traditional vacuum we use to vacuum our carpets or something
