Ok so the focault pendulum proves the coriolis force but isn’t that force having to do with atmosphere spinning different speed depending on north south

Holy crap, just found out that FTFE was arrested a while back for meth possession. That was why he was out for a few “episodes” he blamed it on his “pain.” It makes sense, something looked off a few shows. Fidgety, shaking, constantly rubbing his face, sweating, etc. I kinda feel bad for him.

It's not that it's stationary, it's just that the speed of light doesn't change relative to its position on the Earth.

2019-05-18 02:31:44 UTC

Thus disproving the Aether.

2019-05-18 02:31:58 UTC

I literally have no clue how you get a flat earth from this.

2019-05-18 02:32:29 UTC

You’re conveniently forgetting to mention you’re using a theory to postulate your claim.

2019-05-18 02:32:44 UTC

Thanks. 👍

@jeremy I think u should think about taking an intro to physics course online or at a local college it would answer a lot of your questions and if u went to the class in person u could go to the prof with any question u had and get good answers

2019-05-18 02:32:59 UTC

Lots of the globe is theory on top of heart on top of theory

2019-05-18 02:34:54 UTC

Coriolis force is from the atmosphere spinning different speeds as u go north or south no

2019-05-18 02:35:07 UTC

@Derek Nelson Which theory?

2019-05-18 02:35:27 UTC

?

"On top of a theory" *Which theory?*

Guys I ran out of milk :(

2019-05-18 02:36:29 UTC

A theory is an observation of a fact. No more, no less.

2019-05-18 02:36:33 UTC

Oh no

2019-05-18 02:37:02 UTC

Hollow earth is fake prove me wrong

2019-05-18 02:37:03 UTC

A theory is a belief.

2019-05-18 02:37:13 UTC

It seeks to explain that fact to its best possible model;

2019-05-18 02:37:20 UTC

@Derek Nelson And what belief?

no a scientific theory is an explanation of a natural observation, a scientific law is an observation of a natural phenomenon

2019-05-18 02:39:07 UTC

@Derek Nelson So you ignore the first definition to pick the one that suits you? Cha cha, real smooth

2019-05-18 02:39:12 UTC

@Derek Nelson how about you look at the first one

2019-05-18 02:39:18 UTC

Scientific theory is what scientists cite when they fail to prove a theory throughout by the scientific method.

2019-05-18 02:39:19 UTC

Still didn't specify which theory

If a theory passes the scientific method in it’s entirety, it ceases to be a theory.

2019-05-18 02:40:31 UTC

That's where you're wrong kiddo

2019-05-18 02:40:37 UTC

@Derek Nelson The opposite, a scientific theory is an explanation of a natural event that can be *repeatedly tested and verified.*
