Putting in for jobs in Montana, how do you guys that live there like it? I'm big into the outdoors as is my wife, looking around the Kalispell area.

I've heard alot of great things, and it's more homogeneous than here so that's a plus.

Also its in a great location. Close to plenty of lakes, Glacier Nat. Park, even Canada

Most of my income is passive income so I only need to find some part time work really. Hunting and fishing there would be a dream there. I'm sick of having to travel to do those things, I want flathead in my back yard lol

Construction, mines, railroads offer a lot of jobs

For me concern is local economy that can support kids and grandkids. Settling down for kids to have to move off to thrive is lame.

That being said california white exodus means northwest will be booming in 20 years

Kalispell is a growth area for sure

I guess it depends on what you mean by "thrive". I hope to raise my kids to understand that the chase of material goods will ultimately lead to unhappiness.

Montana has a lot of small communities that are conservative and value older traditions

One of the biggest issues with American culture is there isn't a lot of unity or loyalty to anything but material greed. Live to be in debt so to speak.

A CA suburbanite is an urbanite in MT. This was an unexpected lesson I learned since moving here.
