naw june celebrates the abolition of american slavery duh
Hell yeah
Fuuk wikipedia
oh sorry
jews ran the African slave trade
no wikipedia then
Africans had their own slaves...look it up
you're right
guess what america did wasn't wrong
thanks for clarifying
It's fine if other people do it
Ran slave routes also
so, naturally, we just exploited that practice for our own profit
since they were already doing it, and all
why not us too
Thats not the point
i'm sorry what was the point
you're right, and america was wrong to preserve that practice almost a century into its existence
Cant point fingers at one group
Thats was then.. this is now
We had a Civil WAR over this shit. Remember
it's almost like a massive chunk of america's economic capacity in its first hundred years was based upon slave labor, and it's not like it was much better for former slaves following their emancipation
sharecropping was a staple in the southern economy for eons after the civil war, basically just layered on top of the former slave economy
It was better..
They just didnt know what to do...many stayed with the masters they learned to love
_learned to love_
uh
huh
That is a correct statement
yeah and practices like redlining and blockbusting in the 20th century, totally ethical and a-ok
Not@all@slave@owners@were bad@people
#notallslaveowners
That's actually true. Some slaves, upon release, wished to stay based on how they were treated.
My great grandmother had a Black butler and maid... when she died she left the 2nd house and 60,000 dollars to the both of them. Matthew the butler wept at the funeral
sounds totally real and not at all made up, but how generous of her, huh
Hell yeah Let Us Go <:nasalies:485141702403686403>
and i guess if you're _nice_ to the humans you own as property that you can also sell at-will, it excuses you of well, owning slaves
