When I ask why people don't know when they are upside down on the baal Earth gravity is the answer.. so gravity is also an orientation or and direction.

Gravity also works differently on interplanetary scales than you might think. The reason why planets don't get locked in place around a star and instead move around them, is because gravity is causing the planet to constantly fall towards the star. However, the planet will miss the star every time. This causes a circular orbit.

Its the same reason why satellites orbit the earth the way they do
