^ flat earthers have attempted this experiment in the past, and have failed

2019-09-16 22:24:42 UTC

yup

2019-09-16 22:25:28 UTC

I have seen this experiment demonstrated twice. Once on national geographic, at which flat earthers claimed it was fake. And second, done by flat earthers themselves near the end of the flat Earth documentary on Netflix.

You have no proof for that @Mathieus the Walking Witness

2019-09-16 22:26:20 UTC

@Mathieus the Walking Witness have you even said 1 logical thing since we started?

2019-09-16 22:26:40 UTC

yeah the documentary cut out all the important parts of the test and just went to the results, its all bs. do the tests yourself

2019-09-16 22:26:52 UTC

@Teddy If there's anything you can learn from this debate it's that you yourself have to do your own research and please please please check your sources you cannot just take random test that some person is done the garage and take them as facts of the universe.

2019-09-16 22:27:38 UTC

@rivenator12113 Well the results concluded that the Earth was round so I don't really see why they need to do the whole process if it proves your theory wrong

2019-09-16 22:28:19 UTC

Also, curvature calculators. Flat earthers often claim that this proves that the earth is flat because it is inaccurate. The thing is, they don't account for atmospheric refraction in their calculations. You can perform your own tests and find calculate how much of an object in the distance should be hidden quite accurately. @Teddy

2019-09-16 22:29:31 UTC

@Mathieus the Walking Witness it's ok, don't give up, maybe one day you'll understand basic things like shapes and words

2019-09-16 22:29:38 UTC

The sun on the flat Earth model also does impossible things. On a flat plane, as the sun gets further away, it would not go below the horizon if it was all flat. It would fade into the distance slowly.

2019-09-16 22:30:36 UTC

it's actually hilarious how you repeat the same exact things over and over again thinking you've won

2019-09-16 22:30:55 UTC

you have yet to say one logical thing

2019-09-16 22:30:56 UTC

Its impossible on a flat surface for an object above that surface to visibly go below it.

2019-09-16 22:31:12 UTC

Simply from moving further away, ofc

2019-09-16 22:32:13 UTC

Boats also disappear over the horizon bottom up, interestingly. Just like with the sun, they should not have a preferred direction of fading into the distance.

2019-09-16 22:32:33 UTC

@Yabai funny how you ignore refraction when it benefits you

2019-09-16 22:33:18 UTC

what are you talking about

2019-09-16 22:33:20 UTC

Atmospheric refraction already allows for us to see the boat further away than we normally would. Atmospheric refraction doesn't cause boats to disappear bottom up, as far as I'm concerned.

2019-09-16 22:34:19 UTC

@rivenator12113 funny how you attribute random things to refraction when it suits you

2019-09-16 22:34:25 UTC

atmospheric refraction creates an illusion of boats going from top to down

Top to down?

2019-09-16 22:34:49 UTC

notice how the image in your diagram is INVERTED

2019-09-16 22:35:16 UTC

never seen a boat randomly flip lol

2019-09-16 22:35:43 UTC

ignorance is bliss, keep ignoring the phenomenas when it suits you! Also isn't the earth to small to see curvature? so how could you see the boat disappear top from bottom? logical fallacies everywhere

2019-09-16 22:36:27 UTC

bru

2019-09-16 22:36:54 UTC

Knowledge is the only good in ignorance is the only evil

2019-09-16 22:36:56 UTC

Anyway. Good luck to you with your search for proof. Globe earthers can sometimes be as dumb as flat earthers and will spout nonsense, though, but I hope this conversation helped you learn something new. @Teddy

2019-09-16 22:36:59 UTC

What is the flat earth explanation to gravity

2019-09-16 22:37:06 UTC

There is none

2019-09-16 22:37:09 UTC

They deny it.

2019-09-16 22:37:25 UTC

Me jumps for joy and doesn't stop floating up

2019-09-16 22:37:47 UTC

They claim density and buoyancy are forces independent of gravity - however they are not.

2019-09-16 22:38:25 UTC

👌

2019-09-16 22:38:30 UTC

Lorie r u a flat earther?
