PHILADELPHIA (WHTM) - A nurse is headed to trial in the death of the father of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser at a Philadelphia senior care facility.
Christann Gainey, 30, was held for trial following her preliminary hearing on Monday. She is charged with neglect of a care-dependent person, involuntary manslaughter, and tampering with records in connection with the April 13 death of Herbert R. McMaster Sr.
Prosecutors say Gainey failed to administer eight required neurological checks to McMaster after he fell at the Cathedral Village retirement community. They said the checks could have indicated the severity of his injuries and steps could have been taken to save his life.
Gainey allegedly falsified documents to make it seem she had administered the checks.
McMaster’s son, H.R. McMaster Jr., served as Trump’s national security adviser from February 2017 until he resigned in March.

Larry Keiper, charged with attempting to kidnap a six-year-old girl from her Wheatfield home, had been wearing an ankle bracelet while on parole. The Niagara County Sheriff said he cut off the bracelet and the company monitoring it did not tell the Sheriff's Office.
