200k Americans died following the orders of their leaders. Trump is not your leader, you are. Your community is. Your mayor is. Your governor is.

Trump was following the guidelines of the CDC, for crying out loud.

So, yes people died. You blame who? I say that it’s up to each of us to take the risks we see fit.

If you think it’s worth killing me instead of letting me wear a mask, please try.

2020-09-24 16:55:39 UTC

I blamed trump? Demonstrate

2020-09-24 16:55:47 UTC

“Failing at controlling this” indicates they don’t know how to control it.

2020-09-24 16:57:18 UTC

Yes, im blaming attitudes and non-scientific dogma of the people. Nino vitale, dr.buttar ... and the millions of shares, likes their videos get.

2020-09-24 16:57:48 UTC

If I’m not wrong nino vitale holds some local public office. I could be wrong.

2020-09-24 17:01:05 UTC

Masks on, bitches. ;)

2020-09-24 17:01:30 UTC

Sexy. 😂

2020-09-24 17:12:44 UTC

No point wearing masks, 5G causes it anyway. Y’know the 5G they haven’t even heard of in Bolivia n Bangladesh.

2020-09-24 17:25:21 UTC

Stone to your earlier point about the cost of healthcare. The horrible way that America is right no, with lockdowns and such is a FEATURE of having a for profit healthcare system.

2020-09-24 17:25:57 UTC

We could have avoided this lockdown, had Americans earlier in the nation's history had the forsight to not be incredibly fucking greedy.

2020-09-24 17:26:09 UTC

Just got back from a walk, sorry I missed so much.

2020-09-24 17:29:14 UTC

As far as the freedom thingy goes. JP is fully in the thralls of some libertarian hysteria. We must constantly redact our freedom in order to have a functioning society.

2020-09-24 17:29:45 UTC

Hmm - I don’t understand your point about the healthcare system.

2020-09-24 17:32:09 UTC

For profit institutions have a adopted a -just in time- production model. That means no stockpile and no waste. We had doctors and nurses reusing protective equipment between shifts due to shortages. Staff were exhausted because they were overworked, because the minimum amount of people working is the most profitable.

We had no spare beds, no spare wings or wards of hospitals dedicated to pandemics because maintaining those things would be unprofitable. So we had to lockdown to save lives.

2020-09-24 17:32:13 UTC

Yep it’s our fault. I hear you. You’re stuck with us though. Or are you?

2020-09-24 17:32:31 UTC

Our for profit healthcare system literally killed people.

2020-09-24 17:32:37 UTC

(Re to stone cold from earlier. Phone died$

2020-09-24 17:34:42 UTC

I see. @Malachi . Not sure if it’s just the healthcare system. I meant it’s a cost to the government or to the people, either way. I don’t think even if it was government controlled, they would constantly be wasting resources awaiting a day they might need them.

2020-09-24 17:35:50 UTC

The case can be made that the inefficiencies inherent in a. Govt controlled healthcare system would not have the capacity or capability to respond to such a situation

2020-09-24 17:37:38 UTC

Especially if people are allowed to say “no”

2020-09-24 17:38:50 UTC

That is an important factor. I can solve so many more problems if I can force everyone into slavery or to act exactly as I want them to

2020-09-24 17:39:07 UTC

But I can’t, I don’t want to, and I have to survive in this world of freedom just like anyone else.

2020-09-24 17:39:36 UTC

Reciprocation is key to a civil society, that doesn’t mean we don’t have hierarchies, it just means “no” is uncomfortable, but not a death sentence

2020-09-24 17:39:49 UTC

“No” can mean you don’t get a haircut. It can’t mean “we imprison you”

2020-09-24 17:40:15 UTC

I can’t force you to give me a haircut and you can’t force me to wear a mask. It’s lovely

2020-09-24 17:40:36 UTC

@StoneCold316 When I talk about changing the system, I wouldn't be advocating for a shittier system.

2020-09-24 17:41:08 UTC

But if you think me not wearing a mask kills many, then you might feel just in killing me.

Admit it, is all.

2020-09-24 17:41:51 UTC

@JPMcGlone What are you talking about?

2020-09-24 17:42:28 UTC

Continuation of a conversation with stone earlier. The mask issue is beyond whether or not it scientifically works.

2020-09-24 17:43:09 UTC

Well sure. But what is the mask issue about to you?

2020-09-24 17:43:23 UTC

Control.

2020-09-24 17:43:34 UTC

Mandating you wear a mask in public is....?

2020-09-24 17:43:58 UTC

Yes. If I say “no” they don’t want to just deny me service (that’s reasonable) they want me@in jail

2020-09-24 17:44:14 UTC

People have been arrested for hanging out in the park

2020-09-24 17:44:30 UTC

Is it a public park?

2020-09-24 17:44:45 UTC

What they’re telling us is “if we are afraid, we can spend your liberty instead of ours”

2020-09-24 17:45:01 UTC

Do you think you should be able to walk nude in a public park?

2020-09-24 17:45:04 UTC

I have conservative friends who choose to stay away from people. That’s totally fine

2020-09-24 17:45:41 UTC

Indecency laws exist, at least in part, because it’s too hard to punish sex offenders in real time.

2020-09-24 17:46:00 UTC

Wait, being naked is not a sex offense.

2020-09-24 17:46:08 UTC

If you walk around naked and a sicko tries to rape you, the police need to get involved... so you can’t walk around naked. It’s preventative
