Their duty is to be homemakers

2018-08-08 20:50:49 UTC

And anyone who disagrees is a libtard

2018-08-08 20:50:52 UTC

dumb question man

2018-08-08 20:51:26 UTC

rip

2018-08-08 20:51:50 UTC

technically most people should work from home as farmers/tradesmen anyway so women are no exception

2018-08-08 20:54:45 UTC

I'd change it to a different one, but I don't want to ping @'everyone twice

2018-08-08 21:12:18 UTC

Depends on the situation in my opinion

2018-08-08 21:22:48 UTC

@ken what kind of situation?

2018-08-08 21:27:13 UTC

I'd say in the overwhelming majority of circumstances, they should be at home

2018-08-08 22:39:54 UTC

They should stay home once they have children. Prior part time work maybe.

2018-08-08 22:56:15 UTC

women can do what they want it's not my choice

2018-08-09 00:28:06 UTC

But it does affect you at some point or another

2018-08-09 01:17:00 UTC

Late, but Agreed ^

2018-08-09 03:28:12 UTC

It’s a women’s choice, and wether or not it affects you doesn’t mean you have a right to have a say in it.

2018-08-09 03:28:35 UTC

Lots of things “effect” people but aren’t about them

2018-08-09 03:28:55 UTC

The price of gas “effects” you but that doesn’t mean you get to choose what it costs

2018-08-09 03:43:06 UTC

Women who are stay at home moms have better lives

2018-08-09 03:43:16 UTC

this is a scientific fact

2018-08-09 03:43:31 UTC

society is also better off with women being homemakers

2018-08-09 05:37:31 UTC

^

2018-08-09 05:39:56 UTC

What about the case where a women has to work for income, either to support just herself or her children. If her role is to take care of the children wouldn't ensuring there's money to feed the kids and pay for rent be part of that?

2018-08-09 09:31:46 UTC

@Alexander Ramsey “better” is completely subjective and useless in an argument like this

2018-08-09 09:31:56 UTC

So you can’t scientifically prove that

2018-08-09 09:33:07 UTC

I guess you could argue that it could be proven that women would be happier, but even then there’s no way that could ever be universal so you’re just left with “ most women would be happy staying at home”

2018-08-09 09:33:14 UTC

But even if you could prove that

2018-08-09 09:33:23 UTC

Being happier isn’t intrinsically better

2018-08-09 09:34:03 UTC

If that’s all there was people would just say “ it’s scientifically proven if you buy like a ton of cocaine and overdose on all of it in a day, that’s scientifically the best use of your time “

2018-08-09 09:36:05 UTC

And “society being better off” also is again subjective

2018-08-09 09:36:27 UTC

If there was an objectively “better” way to do society

2018-08-09 09:36:39 UTC

We wouldn’t call it the Right and the Left

2018-08-09 09:36:47 UTC

We’d call it the Correct and the Wrong

2018-08-09 09:36:56 UTC

But society and reality don’t work like that

2018-08-09 11:54:04 UTC

The stats prove woman have been getting unhappier since joining the work force. Also, divorce has sky rocketed and it is fair to say it might be a factor.

2018-08-09 14:48:55 UTC

@Griselda happier lives sounds better to me

2018-08-09 14:50:02 UTC

Stay at home moms have the highest happiness rates of any other career that women pursue

2018-08-09 14:50:57 UTC

Children who come from families with stay at home moms are less likely to be involved in crime, do better in school, and lead more successful lives in general

2018-08-09 14:51:08 UTC

That sounds like a net benefit to society to me

2018-08-09 14:59:03 UTC

Yeah I’m agreeing that most of that stuff is better

2018-08-09 14:59:11 UTC

I guess I was more arguing semantics

2018-08-09 14:59:19 UTC

So that was just a flaw on my part

2018-08-09 14:59:20 UTC

Oops
