The whole “at what cost” idea
only on this server will one see a rational, cultured discussion take twists and turns and be damn well worthwhile to read and understand
the individual can die but the collective will live on, keeping this selfish individual mentality instead of pursuing something greater is why libertarianism is full of hedonistic pleasure seeking and greedy wealth hoarding
when you don't believe in a collective there is only your own personal flesh bound desires
I don't believe fascism is either totally individualist or collectivist, personally
well it isn't
nothing is
I think fascism acknowledges that mankind was built to be somewhere inbetween
collective identity needs to be tmepered with individualism or you get the problem of china where they don't develop or invent their own technology and are dependent on stealing from other nations
No ideology sides maybe egoism is entirely individualist or collectivist
A meritocracy of separate collectivisms defined as "nations"
they all just have a lean
Pretty sure communism leans to collective
Communism is entirely collectivist
^^
Libertarianism is almost entirely individualist
^^
you could debate that
communism denies hiearchy is egalitarian it rejects the tribalist collectivism nations stem from
but it's very close to "I will do anything I want cause I can"
Communism and Fascism are two different kinds of collectivism
but people are dumb enough to try it
Communism wants gender and racial equality and a denial of hiearchy
same goes for total individualism
while fascism wants a complete hiearchy
again, communism ideally is total collectivism
well, those it considers in its collective
Fascism is not, but it recognizes the importance of components involving collective effort
considering rich people in your own nation aren't part of the collective lmao
Fascism is based on the organic reality of a nation state and the reality of a class based meritocracy within such a collective. These collectives themselves are divided in the world, hence, multiple conflicting and independent nations.
and I think that's an accurate understanding of macro human social relations
agreed
@everyone Daily Question🔖
Do you see Transhumanism overall as a benefit or detriment to humanity and why?
Detriment. We'll lose our soul if we become machines.
