😩
Jordan Peterson also does not say that about Marxism. Cuck Philosophy, I think he was who did that, strawmanned him by taking a quote of him out of context
I did not come to this conclusion from Cuck Philosophy's video, I do watch Jordan himself by himself
you stalk jordan peterson
In the Joe Rogan podcast, Peterson made clear that he was talking about class distinction
joe rogan, jordan peterson
top kek
And on his numerous lectures
What is your position on philosophical idealism?
peterson like everyone else, avoids talking about the root of all problems
usual gatekeeper
Me. I am an idealist
Ah
I see
Well, why don't you tell me about your politics?
Well, I would find myself on Right, I guess. Maybe far Right. Though I don't subscribe to many Right Wing ideas
Okay, so why idealism?
"equality" if anything is based around bringing equality it can only bring people down. Generally there are places you can reduce disadvantage, such as healthcare. But true equality eh. I dont see that happening. Either way what is going on
Because materialism does not explain mind, and Dualism fails to explain Chalmer's Problem
Originally I was stating that Marxism is not about equality, or rather communism. Because as you said, at most equality can only be gained in *some* respect or inequality can only be reduced to some minimums
Materialism in terms of physicalism can explain mind, I would actually say idealism just shifts the question of the mind
It cannot. For it to explain that, it would require to explain qualia
And intentionality
As far as mind goes, materialism fails horribly. We have recordings of consciousness long after the cells and neurons go iselectric meaning there are no brainwaves, meaning according to any materialism view, consciousness no longer exists. However there is evidence and quite a few cases of this being the case, this may in fact be the case for NDE's and the whole light phenomena which only 20% of dead experience
the rest come back
No, to be clear equality in some respects can be a result of communism, but Marxism is first and foremost a analytical method, and communism is the result, to which communism seeks to abolish class
Why would Marxism/Communism abolish class? What is wrong with class?
I cna see abolishing class socially, as in the construct of class and the attitudes. However is this good? Is it possible to abolish class physically and materialistically. Is that right in any way? I can see the case for preventing radical materialism and accumulation of absurd wealth, however beyond that?
Personally I do think that money needs to flow, CEO's shouldn't be making say 1000X or 10k times more than the floor worker who can barely get by. This leads to economic issues in and of itself
You mean shouldn't be?
No. I am Right Wing obviously
And I want to be clear, class in this sense is not defined by the amount of money one makes, or whether or not a boss exists, bosses are not an issue
I meant the person above said
"CEO's should be making..."
But the context made it sound like they meant to say shouldn't
oh wait they shouldn't
my bad
Is cool, I gotcha dude
I think on this we have common ground
My issue is not people being richer, nor the existence of a boss, but the relationships to production
In some form or fashion working people should have democratic control of their work place and receive in full the value of their labour
