they are anti interventionist
at least were
you can't have a 'non global' capitalist economic system.
what the hell is 'capitalism in one country'
paleoconservatism with like
trade
maybe protectionism idk specifically in what they believe there
Free trade is done in a way that keeps the third-world poor
and the first world rich, The west literally engineered a return to primary commodity exports in Africa using 'free market policy'
whether or not it could be accomplished i think paleocons oppose outsourcing too
Then they would be anti-capitalist, but they are not.
Outsourcing is a result of the profit motive
there are inherent contradictions in capitalism that you cannot resolve with 'more' capitalism.
they see outsourcing as produced by statism
however true that is
like regulations and allowing them to do it
lack of tariffa
tarrifs*
because that's bad for the profit motive
US workers, and western workers are just too expensive
unless they want to accept a drastic decrease in quality of life they cannot fight the profit motive of capitalism.
maybe there are mises articles on it or somethint
tbh state, utopia, and anarchy is a good book on libertarian philosophy, i'll read it again probably
who is that one by
Robert Nozick
the havard libertarian professor
oh yeah
All these "Blocked Messages" lol
you blocked someone?
weak
also
anyone who blocks someone else still reads all the messages lmao
im pretty late in the conversation but
in the US, liberals are considered the embodyment of the left wing
just as convervatives are considered the embodyment of the right wing
@Perpetual Moral Imbalance I got that from
```Other words, such as “liberal,” had
been originally identified with laissez-faire libertarians, but had
been captured by left-wing statists```
but it still trips over the fundamental fallacy that statism =/= anti-capitalist and assumes the state cannot be used as a tool bythe capitalists. Which is why i find it dumb when Americans attack me for pointing out the democrats are 'right-wing.' I'm using a broader, more useful political spectrum that's based in the reality that something like 'state monopoly capitalism' exists.
tbf its under democrats that corporate america is going to establish its hegemony
^HOLY CRAP THIS
I mean, both parties play their role.
I mean democrats can at least **make concessions to the working class**
but we can see those concessions are either too little
