Call me a luddite, but I prefer we stay and prosper in the heartland of America

2018-06-18 18:28:11 UTC

tbh after looking at the amish I'm becoming a luddite myself

2018-06-18 18:28:17 UTC

Why would anyone want to go to space

2018-06-18 18:28:19 UTC

But not everything will remain, eventually the resources will die out and we will need a new place to go afterwards

2018-06-18 18:28:37 UTC

the famous resource wars that never seem to happen

2018-06-18 18:28:40 UTC

like peak oil

2018-06-18 18:28:48 UTC

And then there will be less and less space for people to live on, it’s an eventual long time thing

2018-06-18 18:28:49 UTC

There's no such thing as a shortage,

2018-06-18 18:28:53 UTC

it's like workers

2018-06-18 18:28:53 UTC

it's just a manipulation tactic to trick people to have less kids

2018-06-18 18:28:56 UTC

that's all it is

2018-06-18 18:29:00 UTC

it's a matter of how much you're willing to PAY

2018-06-18 18:29:14 UTC

You mean to tell me that oil just comes out of the ground magically and the soil just magically fixes itself?

2018-06-18 18:29:42 UTC

And that minerals just magically get mined out of the ground?

2018-06-18 18:29:45 UTC

The thing is we can develop a different energy source that's less expensive than mining asteroids

2018-06-18 18:30:18 UTC

And it's not magic, but looking at things pragmatically, it is used as an excuse to lower fertility rates

2018-06-18 18:30:27 UTC

I would be down to setup an Amish like community somewhere

2018-06-18 18:30:36 UTC

I’m talking about Earth and America’s resources. Don’t get me wrong America is filled with resources, but it will run out eventually

2018-06-18 18:30:36 UTC

Hi talking about Earth and America’s resources. Don’t get me wrong America is filled with resources, but it will run out eventually, I'm Dad!

2018-06-18 18:30:49 UTC

Yeah far after we're all dead

2018-06-18 18:31:12 UTC

well, technically, we don't really run out of resources. We just change them into other forms of matter. If we can find ways of 'recycling' that, we're good

2018-06-18 18:31:19 UTC

But we need to secure a path for the future, that mentality got us where we are now

2018-06-18 18:31:20 UTC

I'm focused on the social and cultural resources right now, technological advancements are gonna make that more efficient anyways

2018-06-18 18:31:20 UTC

Hi focused on the social and cultural resources right now, technological advancements are gonna make that more efficient anyways, I'm Dad!

2018-06-18 18:31:52 UTC

That mentality of “oh the next generation will fix it and it’s not our problem” got us modern America

2018-06-18 18:32:31 UTC

From a cultural, social, and economic standpoint, yes

2018-06-18 18:32:41 UTC

However the environment is a different equation

2018-06-18 18:32:59 UTC

But the environment is formed by those circumstances

2018-06-18 18:33:24 UTC

Besides, if this is about lowering emissions, wouldn't burning a ton of rocket fuel be the worst thing for that?

2018-06-18 18:33:28 UTC

How many resources are left depends on the economy

2018-06-18 18:33:40 UTC

Oh God, Ann Coulter's trending again

2018-06-18 18:33:50 UTC

I’m not talking about emissions I’m talking about natural resources

2018-06-18 18:33:50 UTC

Hi not talking about emissions I’m talking about natural resources, I'm Dad!

2018-06-18 18:34:02 UTC

lol

2018-06-18 18:34:07 UTC

haha

2018-06-18 18:34:08 UTC

Some are renewable like wood, and others like oil and minerals are not

2018-06-18 18:34:22 UTC

Oh my lord child actors

2018-06-18 18:34:27 UTC

Ann what are you doing

2018-06-18 18:34:36 UTC

That’s the definition f bad optics
