We need to overspend on the big day

2018-02-16 22:57:22 UTC

@FLanon I want to see the Democrats BTFO on the PA-18 race

2018-02-16 22:57:26 UTC

This is small fish relative to November.

2018-02-16 22:57:39 UTC

they've been gloating about their "overperformances" when really it's because they've been overspending

2018-02-16 22:58:07 UTC

it's not like the GOP is going to blow all their money on this one race

2018-02-16 22:58:10 UTC

they have too much to do that

2018-02-16 22:58:12 UTC

I'd rather lose this election and get the seats we need in November

2018-02-16 22:59:17 UTC

We need all the resources we can get, we cannot afford to match the left money-wise on anything other than November

2018-02-16 23:00:11 UTC

I want to see them lose PA-18 also, but the thing is we've got more drastic stuff beyond that

2018-02-16 23:01:48 UTC

This is how I see it

2018-02-17 00:44:42 UTC

i'm not to sure how valuable the PA-18 race will be as an indicator for November,

2018-02-17 00:45:09 UTC

there will be sizeable shift for the Dems regardless, simply because Murphy, who was popular among the general population, is not on the ballot

2018-02-17 00:45:33 UTC

it's difficult to say just how conservative PA-18 really is,

2018-02-17 00:45:52 UTC

because the district is relatively recently drawn

2018-02-17 00:46:09 UTC

let's take a look to see how Trump performed here,

2018-02-17 00:47:02 UTC

okay,

2018-02-17 00:47:19 UTC

according to the data, Trump won here by a 10-20% margin,
which represents its voting habit in a neutral environment (without Murphy on the ballot, being popular and all)

2018-02-17 00:47:45 UTC

it's definitely not the most pro-GOP area of the state,

2018-02-17 00:48:12 UTC

but it's not like Georgia-6 (suburban, college-educated),

2018-02-17 00:48:42 UTC

so assuming Trump can energize voters here, the GOP candidate (name escapes me) should be fine

2018-02-17 02:24:57 UTC

@🎃Boo-ton🎃 the issue is that the Democrat candidate, Lamb, is doing a grassroots, door-to-door campaign and a good looking guy

2018-02-17 02:25:18 UTC

Conor Lamb campaigns like how every GOP candidate should campaign

2018-02-17 02:25:30 UTC

if Moore campaigned like he did, Doug Jones would have gotten BTFO

2018-02-17 03:14:48 UTC

If an incumbent leaves in a scandalous position, their party will be weaker in the next election, look at Al Franken's seat, it's considered vulnerable, hell, back in '06, it turned out the congressman in my district was a pedophile and a dem won for the first time since 1993 in the area.

2018-02-17 03:15:03 UTC

FL-16 btw

2018-02-17 03:26:05 UTC

yeah, that is a problem, though the GOP still has the advantage in the race

2018-02-17 03:26:21 UTC

it can all get better

2018-02-17 03:26:27 UTC

unless,

2018-02-17 03:26:27 UTC

I do hope Saccone doesn't sit on his ass and expect a win just because of that though

2018-02-17 03:26:29 UTC

*shudder*

2018-02-17 03:26:36 UTC

he turns about to be child molester

2018-02-17 03:26:40 UTC

or...

2018-02-17 03:26:48 UTC

he gets accused of being one

2018-02-17 03:27:06 UTC

didn't Moore's accusations happen a month before the race?

2018-02-17 03:27:20 UTC

If it does happen in PA-18, it should be any day now

2018-02-17 03:27:27 UTC

unless they're going to do it a week before

2018-02-17 03:27:51 UTC

I've always thought that such accusations would be better timed if they occured a few days before the election, rather than a month

2018-02-17 03:28:13 UTC

Pussygate happened a month before the election, Moore's pedo scandal happened a month before the election

2018-02-17 03:28:49 UTC

Trump won, and Moore could have won if he actually put real effort into the campaign

2018-02-18 20:04:04 UTC

Yeah Lamb's chances are looking good

2018-02-18 20:04:17 UTC

Saccone needs to do something
