Reminds me, when I was learning to weld as part of a class in tech school, one of the instructors turned around with his mask on and a spun up angle grinder, and almost carved my friend straight up the chest with it. Missed by two inches

Someone had the gas cranked way up on acetylene torch and it went out when I picked it up. Got it near a hot plate and it relit and blew, flame went under my mask and burned all the hair off my face

My instructor told me about a guy who cut a hole in his toolbox so he could just toss his torch in there and lock it up with the lines attached instead of taking it off. He forgot to turn off the gas flow one day and the whole thing filled up and blew. Think he lost some bits if I recall

When I was doing my auto tech program at my local community college I was doing a lower ball joint on a Corolla and I hit the control arm hard enough to send the head of my hammer flying across the shop

I hate doing ball joints. Sometimes they pop out with one hit other times you’re beating on it for an hour

Working on Land Cruisers for so fucking long gave me an entirely new appreciation for doing suspension work on little Nissans and Hondas

Then I hate changing spark plugs cause it’s always the middle even that gives me fucking trouble taking out and putting back it

Every time I get voluntold to wrench around on my dad's, every single plug breaks and they're a foot down in the block. Trick is you have to keep the engine hot and get them out while it's running

Heard they made a tool to extract broke plugs

I've never had 3v plugs break myself. But I've always been told to get it hot, soak them in penetrating oil, let it cool down, get it hot again, and take them out with an impact

That'd do it. They get hardcore siezed up in there.
