Hey guys, who's the go to guy for pre-made ifaq and stop the bleed kits

I like Chinook Medical.

North American Rescue and Phokus both also have solutions for that.

My go-to is NAR, but I'm sure Chinook is outstanding as well.

Chinook is where I got my saline lock.

So when it comes to medical classes I’m CPR/AED cert and was gonna take the stop the bleed class then rona happened. What are some good medic classes. Gonna have to take BLS for hospital workers because I’m starting clinical soon(RN)

EMT takes a while. I was originally going to go and get my associates degree to be a paramedic but then realized nursing is the same amount of work to earn and pay almost double. I’ll see if I can find that being taught in my area.

Quick clot. Is it really suggested that people who may not be trained to use that. Its my understanding that both using it in the wrong places is counterproductive and using it can cause chemical burns for added problems later.

Secondly. Again just from my own experience. Trauma sheers no matter how expensive are all shit or get left everywhere. Probably better to buy in bulk and keep one or two on you rather than a "nice" set.

Thirdly, assuming we use the windlass only tqs?

Lastly. For...... combat.... situations. Has there been thought about establishing or organizing generic SOPs

I have seen ratcheting TQs but they are more in terms of cost.

Everyone should establish SOPs with their local group.

I would suggest everyone have QuikClot in their IFAK regardless of whether they use it or not.

From what I hear, chemical burns is no longer a problem.

As for trauma shears:

There is no need to buy a set of Leatherman Raptors.

Buy 3 or 4 pairs of the cheap stainless ones.

They do the job, that’s all that should matter.
