That was the M18, not the M17. And when it was manufactured makes a big ass difference with all Sig USA products.
Are there 80% handguns besides Glocks and Sig P320s? (Not including AR handguns)
Not really to my knowledge short of a CNC machine
P320 is okay. Buddy has one and fucked with the M17's. They're fine like anything if you train on it
Looking to build a 556 DMR. Any thoughts on Wylde barreled uppers between BCM and Aero? Is there an appreciable difference in accuracy potential between the two or is it a difference of QC or durability?
I prefer BCM
How far out you looking to shoot?
600ish max, not much point in slinging a 556 beyond that. My priority is consistent accuracy.
yeah tbh you should be fine then. really depends on barrel length and optics
both can hit a plate at that range but id trust bcm more
BCM is super nice. I also really like Aero though. Both are great quality
I'll be replacing the rail and getting it without a BCG, so the barrel accuracy potential is the only concern. It won't be a high round count, mag dumped rifle.
Going to shill Faxon tho
nice ass barrels
Faxon is fantastic. Their barrels can't handle the round counts that bcm can but they're more accurate
That's just part of stainless though. I got just under 1moa with a faxon match grade barrel on an aero upper. If you want more accurate than that, you'll have to get into some pricier barrels. About the highest end I'm aware of is compass lake engineering.
I've got a 14.5 pencil faxon on my competition AR it's wicked
but some super thicc gunshow 10.5 on my fighting gun and it's just fine for what its for
My fighting gun has an 11.5" chf chrome lined tapered barrel from FN. Actually pretty nice so far, though I haven't measured accuracy. I'm guessing given that it's on a bcm upper it's probably hovering around 1moa with good ammo
nice. my thing is heat. pencil with mlok gets uncomfy after a mag if you're doing small unit shit
Cools off faster though. I like the tapered or gunner profile because it's a nice tradeoff, and I hate government profile barrels
yeah, but if you need to do battle drills you wont have time to cool off. 10.5 is chamber thickness to the gas block then .75 to the mussekl
My beretta is a pencil chf chrome lined barrel. Never have heat issues, but it's a 2-3 moa gun and that's what it's made for.
thats a piston gas system tho right?
Planning on building a rifle for my fiance and I think i have the details worked out now
Yes, short stroke.
yeah. i havent actually trained on anything like that, ar's and ak's which both heat up faster
id assume
She's smol, and doesn't like concussion. I've got most of the parts already but it'll likely revolve around:
Faxon 11.5 gunner midlength with an adjustable gas block, faxon lightweight bcg, jp captured buffer, carbon fiber mlok rail, and noveske pig
Small, light, low recoil, and a pig to push the blast away from her
>noveske warpig
mah man
Recesses perfectly into the handguard I have
I'm surprised how well they perform at both minimizing recoil and keepint blast away from the boys
It heats up quick but the receiver is designed to dissipate heat very well. Dumping mags, smoke pouring out of it, hands never get hot.
nice
I kinda want a bren
tbh
11.5 barrel, 13.5 handguard, and the pig is about 3 inches if I remember right
something like that
@Artemis I remember you asking about that, sounds like a good setup
