Holy shit dude you’re a beast. Sorry I was doing a lot of stuff at once and didn’t see this right away. I read all of this and gonna head to bed and wake up with a clear mind and go over it all again in the morning. @Sparrow
Yeah, no problem bud. It's what I'm here for.
True if big
YUUUGGEEE IF REAL
@Sparrow I'm intrigued by the Caniks thanks for the heads up. Looks pretty solid for the money

Not a problem man, I love them personally. And I've carried and shot a handful of different pistols. They are a really nice bang for buck setup.
don't think there's gonna be a glock ar, nothing on google
if there was, I'd envision billet receivers made to look like legos
Glock AR's would be polymer lowers like the GWACS
Or weird GWACS/Carbon 15 hybrids
Got my new upper in, the blue shit are "prototype" guards and a foregrip I'm working on
Emphasis on prototype because i printed them. lol
Glass should be in tomorrow

pst, but free
i can throw my karve in there, but i dont want to take that off my 7.5 300 black out
@Crye_Salesman edited for clarification lmao
I mean I’m not hoes mad. Although though I’m concerned about the heat
it can resist up to 200c, it melts at 240c, if my shit gets that hot... i have other things to worry about and will probably switch to holding the mag well at that point lol
What about it’s thermal dissipation/retention?
Got a question. If I'm building a rifle that's not intended to be used with armor and to have low recoil, a sporting rifle of sorts, would a fixed stock be more appropriate in order to use a rifle length buffer?
Never messed with rifle length receiver extensions before
I rifle length buffer won’t be needed depending on buffer weight.
The thought that popped into my head was
Adjustable gas block, geissele rifle length spring, jp lightweight buffer, faxon lightweight bcg
I don't like fixed stock because length of pull can change depending on terrain and cover, buffer and spring weight can be adjusted with gas to give you lighter impulses
Hell, I'd sell you my skeletonized BCG
I don't want it because I thought I wanted to make an ultralight build, but decided against it.
I know that the faxon one is g2g but a lot of others out there have issues, so I'm leaning towards that
Wouldn't be too worried about changing terrain and cover anyway since there likely wouldn't be time to adjust the length
Spring length and buffer length don’t matter as much as spring resistance or buffer weight.
I understand it helps a little though, so I'm seeing what all I can tweak within reason money wise
For a light recoiling gun, you’ll want a pretty resistant spring and a heavier than average buffer.
Huh. I read on jp's site that they suggested a lighter buffer when going with a light bcg
Heavier buffers would be slower and slam, rather than snap.
It’s a real balancing act.
Yeah, you'll have to go light and light, because if you have a light BCG, it won't have enough mass to go back and eject the cartridge
I've had experience messing with it, it's a pain in the ass.
Tuning gas systems can be a bitch
