I mean I’d go with a PTR before I went to an AUG
@Crye_Salesman oh I didn't kmow that
The AUG is a fine gun, although its a bullpup and has its own inherent problems. Saying something is better than the AR15 is nonsense though, the AUG is a specific rifle made by one company, the AR15 is not.
Oh that makes sense. That's a good point
I got a fostech AR cause it was steeply discounted and had the whole binary thing
binary is gay sorry
The AUG is one of the best bullpup rifles out there. But in comparison to the AR, it lacks.
ARs can perform just as well, just as reliably, and with more modularity.
AR180s are surprisingly robust
Especially milled reciever variants
the brownelss ar180's are cool, although as a cadadadiannn i assume you mean the OG version?
AR180B2 is the og
We have ever variants now
Newer
The AR180 is prohib
However the AR180B isn't
Don't ask me why
Milled aluminum or stamped steel
Yeah explaining Canadian gun law is like try to explain what its like being fully retarded while being fully retarded
*trying
Kek
I hate that an FFL07/SOT2 cannot import MGs from Canada, totally gay, considering yall have mg42s and such for cheap! But that's alright.. I have leads on parts kits that can be imported from Europe... the red tape simply boggles my mind
@BigRed1 lemme come build semi PKM's on vltor receivers for you
Now that sounds fun! Hahaha
In due time.. just gotta get a storefront.. still in the basement
i joke, but im going to a top-tier gunsmithing school in a few months, so maybe i dont joke
We do ww2 reenacting, our biggest issue is solid running mg42s and 34s... I will be building a few in the next few years, unless I see an SOT2 going out of business, than I'll swoop em up..
I want to go to smith school, its just not possible for me at the moment
For the record, an FFL07/SOT2 can legally build what is called a Post sample MG, That is properly approved from the ATF, for legalities.
yeah im fairly well tracking on the SOT stuff
Just educating others, mods, etc
gotcha
well, IDK how big your business is, but if youre looking for a smith in two years HMU, either way id be happy to lend a hand tinkering with old MG's just for fun and building experience
I'm interested in building an MG3 for research, the story behind it is neat..
When russians overtook the Rhine metal plant, they destroyed MG42 blueprints.. they had to reverse engineer the weapon.. crazy right?! Lol
We are small now, hopefully in 2 years ill be a large storefront
i actually didnt know that, thats wild
I havent tracked down the info on the mg42 and 34, but ive nerded out at the TDP's and blueprints of more modern stuff
See history stuff is my fav, I've been learning new stuff, ( it's obviously what everyone buys)
Still learning
You’d be *amazed* well, actually, you probably wouldn’t, but how little most firearms manufacturers and shops actually conceptually understand about how the weapons operate
I've been in many shops, and I HATE when someone doesn't know anything about them.. it's really a disservice to customers.
I've been considering staying away from lower end stuff, like cheap ARs, I'm sure i can find a way to provide good stuff thats affordable, I'm not trying to get rich on folks.
I can't in good conscience sell someone a shitty gun for defense.. you know...
