Dropped the idea on cf barrels. There's just not enough data on durability and having vent holes sounds like it'd take away from the particular strength cf has due to woven fibers.
Still kicking around various ideas though, at least just for the fun of it. While i live in an urban area, my state is almost completely comprised of rolling plains, some forests, and some small mountains. Very very open outside of cities.

That’s probably wise

2020-05-03 21:04:10 UTC

Sorta thinking about large frame rifles at the moment. My 16" ar will hit a dinner plate as far as the round holds supersonic speeds

2020-05-03 21:05:43 UTC

There seems to be tons of fancy calibers but right now I'm thinking maybe 308 because it's available and my dad has hand loading equipment he said I could use when i visit

2020-05-03 21:06:30 UTC

I figured if I ever do a battle rifle, I'd go with .308 for the same reasons as far as ammo availability.

2020-05-03 21:06:46 UTC

$400

2020-05-03 21:07:13 UTC

Nah

2020-05-03 21:08:20 UTC

Outside of the city, we've got a ton of areas where you can see until the earth's curvature as long as you're on one of the hills.
I've got a lot to learn about that though. Never bothered shooting past 600 yards before

2020-05-03 21:08:54 UTC

How’s the wind out there?

2020-05-03 21:10:43 UTC

Infamously strong. A commercial about Oklahoma comes to mind where they show a fire hydrant in front of a wheat field with the chain dangling sideways

2020-05-03 21:11:07 UTC

Sheesh, yeah, you might want .308 or 6.5 creed

2020-05-03 21:13:45 UTC

@magpie_(3inch) get a XPS2-0 for 400

2020-05-03 21:14:39 UTC

It kinda depends. The state average is 15-20 mph but it goes way over that decently often. At least it's known so much for being windy that it's mentioned in the state song

2020-05-03 21:22:18 UTC

I'm annoyed, was gonna get the LV-119, but Spiritus has sold out of all of them.

2020-05-03 21:27:56 UTC

They're almost always sold out. You just kinda have to keep an eye out. Trex arms also carries them, typically pre built instead of a la carte

2020-05-03 21:29:38 UTC

@Sparrow I might have a spare one....😉

2020-05-03 21:29:49 UTC

Well shit bud... the covert?

2020-05-03 21:29:54 UTC

Yessir

2020-05-03 21:30:06 UTC

Oooo... well, how much are you wanting for it?

2020-05-03 21:30:24 UTC

$250

2020-05-03 21:30:32 UTC

It’s coyote, medium

2020-05-03 21:31:02 UTC

Okay, I'm cool with the color and size. Which cumberbund, or what setup is it?

2020-05-03 21:31:14 UTC

Because a front and back only cost 150 together normally.

2020-05-03 21:31:35 UTC

Maybe my math was off, I literally just pulled that number off the top of my head of what I thought I paid for it

2020-05-03 21:31:43 UTC

Advanced elastic cummerbund

2020-05-03 21:32:23 UTC

These ones?

2020-05-03 21:32:53 UTC

And my bad, it would actually be 160 brand new for the front and back.

2020-05-03 21:32:55 UTC

Not 140

2020-05-03 21:33:00 UTC

Yee, those ones

2020-05-03 21:33:08 UTC

Those, brand new go for 70

2020-05-03 21:33:17 UTC

So they go 230 brand new...

2020-05-03 21:33:55 UTC

Okay yup, plus 20 for shoulder covers, so 250 brand new, damn I’m good 😂

2020-05-03 21:34:20 UTC

Actually, 16 for shoulder covers 😉

2020-05-03 21:34:21 UTC

Hahaha

2020-05-03 21:34:57 UTC

Trifold, 19.95

2020-05-03 21:35:05 UTC

Don’t fuck with meeeee.

2020-05-03 21:35:06 UTC

Ahhh, I see.

2020-05-03 21:35:14 UTC

You only said shoulder cover boi

2020-05-03 21:35:26 UTC

How about 220 shipped next Saturday

2020-05-03 21:35:29 UTC

I should've known, you always go with the expensive shit.
