2020-05-06 02:13:23 UTC

When you get mugged so you whip out the saibo .50 BMG from your universal holster

2020-05-06 02:13:26 UTC

the world shall know what it means to keep the strap

2020-05-06 02:13:40 UTC

Big gov: yOu CaNt CaRrY a 50
me: 458 it is

2020-05-06 02:13:59 UTC

I’m just gonna carry a CIWS then

2020-05-06 02:14:29 UTC

I think my state only allows up to a 45. Constitutional carry at least

2020-05-06 02:14:40 UTC

Real talk has anyone seen a case where a guy had to defend himself using RIP rounds yet

2020-05-06 02:14:45 UTC

Carry a .45-70 then

2020-05-06 02:14:54 UTC

I’d hate to watch someone do that

2020-05-06 02:15:03 UTC

rip rounds: don't

2020-05-06 02:15:07 UTC

I know

2020-05-06 02:15:07 UTC

garbo

2020-05-06 02:15:18 UTC

however there's a shotgun slug version that looks nasty

2020-05-06 02:15:28 UTC

But I want someone to have used them to set a precedent in court

2020-05-06 02:16:12 UTC

Because imo I can’t see anyway your not getting the long shaft of the law having to defend RIP rounds in court

2020-05-06 02:16:36 UTC

I'd worry about the prosecutor turning to the jury and being like, see this wicked thing? It just screams intent to wound. They wanted to go out and hurt someone.

2020-05-06 02:16:46 UTC

Forgive my ignorance, what's bad about RIPs?

2020-05-06 02:16:54 UTC

they wound but don't kill

2020-05-06 02:17:42 UTC

the goal is to create as large of a wound cavity as possible to stop the target, but rip rounds fragment so much that they're incapable of, as cringe as it sounds, "stopping power"

2020-05-06 02:18:26 UTC

something like federal HST or speer gold dot that expands dramatically without fragmenting too much is what you want, because handgun rounds don't travel fast enough to cavitate like rifle rounds

2020-05-06 02:19:09 UTC

Interesting

2020-05-06 02:19:38 UTC

Critical duty master race

2020-05-06 02:19:52 UTC

very important read

2020-05-06 02:19:53 UTC

I have old RIP ammo that was a gift

2020-05-06 02:19:54 UTC

I would've figured multiple wound channels would mean more chances to cut arteries

2020-05-06 02:19:58 UTC

everyone in the server needs to read this article

2020-05-06 02:20:31 UTC

the article is put together by people with fancy titles such as *doctor* and extremely informative on ammunition

2020-05-06 02:21:10 UTC

I’m going to concealed carry an A10 Warthog since I can’t have a .50

2020-05-06 02:22:12 UTC

Denim test alone is not good use the FBI test

2020-05-06 02:22:26 UTC

CCW a snubnose .500 S&W

2020-05-06 02:23:51 UTC

A YTer called 1shot did a lot of videos on defense ammo educate yourselves and lucky gunner has a bunch of ballistics tests on ammo but just the denim test not FBI

2020-05-06 04:25:05 UTC

Anyone recommend any plate carrier brands or specific carriers?

2020-05-06 04:27:23 UTC

Depends on your budget/mission. If budget isn't an issue, well anything Crye or Spiritus systems. If you are on the budget side, some Condors are okay, just know that their stitching sometimes has fail points. But with a $5 sewing kit you can reinforce said areas.

2020-05-06 04:27:42 UTC

Of course, you get what you pay for, but depending on what you need, there are happy mediums.

2020-05-06 04:28:14 UTC

Max I can do rn is about 150

2020-05-06 04:28:32 UTC

I had to sew my condor and Rothco stuff over and over. My slickster will be here tomorrow

2020-05-06 04:28:58 UTC

Get a slickster. They're like $160 shipped

2020-05-06 04:29:09 UTC

I'm gonna look them up! Thanks
