Oh damn that's pretty good

2020-05-18 20:11:10 UTC

Reading up a little on 300blk. Granted given my track record of thinking of doing things, I probably won't build one, but the idea seems neat

2020-05-18 20:16:03 UTC

Oh god oh fuck

2020-05-18 20:16:04 UTC

Got my new yeet stick

2020-05-18 20:17:06 UTC

I’ll get one for a truck gun

2020-05-18 20:18:39 UTC

Yeah I was sorta considering the idea of a truck gun. Not for keeping in my truck since that's just supporting burglars, but something that I could take in my truck, move in and out of it with, and maybe take out into the woods or something. It'd also be the right size for my fiance

That is not a weapon that has any place in a civilised society. The Only possible use for such a thing is to murder small children and fluffy bunnies and that sort of gruesome violence must be stopped at all costs. You can not justify owning that weapon unless you intend to squishify cuddle little newborn otters. That is what that weapon was made for and they must all be taken off our streets!

"Fully semi automatic assault hammer"

2020-05-18 22:01:30 UTC

With a shoulder thing that goes up.

2020-05-18 22:01:56 UTC

Kek

2020-05-18 22:03:58 UTC

Anybody recommend a PASGT helmet? I've been looking at them and the surplus isn't stupid expensive

2020-05-18 22:06:09 UTC

Some ppl say that the kevlar will deteriorate after a few years but i've seen tests of old PASGT helmets and they were still able to stop pistol bullets. I picked one up for like $40 with face shield and it's a little too big but it's better than nothing, even if I never wear it.

2020-05-18 22:06:41 UTC

If you can afford an ACH it would be better

2020-05-18 22:06:41 UTC

So bottom line it would hold while I save up to replace it?

2020-05-18 22:07:11 UTC

Let me look an an ACH, i may know what it is, just might not know the name

2020-05-18 22:07:54 UTC

Yeah, lol. Almost the same thing

2020-05-18 22:08:24 UTC

Thats not too far outside of the budget. You said its better, so I'll look around and determine. Thanks for the tip my guy

2020-05-18 22:10:24 UTC

Np I've seen a couple videos of ACH defeating ak rounds, at a distance but still. No idea if pasgt would be able to do that, I just assumed ACH is better because it's newer.

2020-05-18 22:10:48 UTC

Fair enough. Especially in terms of surplus

2020-05-18 22:13:28 UTC

@poorwithagat ACH is much much better than PASGT, I’d be happy to break it down if you’re curious

2020-05-18 22:13:40 UTC

Tbh i would

2020-05-18 22:13:53 UTC

Like whats the advantages over PASGT?

2020-05-18 22:19:42 UTC

Here's what looks like an ad for the ACH

2020-05-18 22:59:05 UTC

Any good iron sights recommendations?

2020-05-18 23:03:52 UTC

@Elephant_seal yea, buy an optic

2020-05-18 23:06:15 UTC

@𝔑𝔢𝔭𝔥𝔯𝔦𝔰 lol I planned on it but I want to have back up sights

2020-05-18 23:07:43 UTC

Would recommend against the plastic magpul mbus sights. They're not durable enough and can have their zero knocked loose. I might suggest KAC flip up irons

2020-05-18 23:08:52 UTC

I've heard troy flip up irons are good but fuck troy
ARMS are a classic but apparently you can break the back sight if you knock it into something

2020-05-18 23:16:58 UTC

Lwrc skirmish sights FTW

2020-05-18 23:17:15 UTC

KAC’s are the best if you can afford them. The magpul PRO’s are much better than the oem backups and are reasonably priced

2020-05-18 23:17:59 UTC

@poorwithagat PASGT is heavier, protects against less threats, and doesn’t do suspicion harness well, doesn’t protect against TBI’s, and is much harder to attach other capabilities to

2020-05-18 23:18:36 UTC

The leitner-wise (of lwrci) e-sites are supposed to be good to

2020-05-18 23:19:38 UTC

The only advantage of the PASGT over the ACH is price, but ACH’s and equivalent contract helmets can be had for ~150

2020-05-18 23:36:49 UTC

Garand Thumb recommends a cheap optic over quality irons cause he says they'll run you about the same price anyway and optics are superior.

2020-05-18 23:39:40 UTC

I’m gonna have to disagree with him there

2020-05-18 23:39:48 UTC

Irons are a staple to a good rifle

2020-05-18 23:45:09 UTC

I disagree with him too, but I'm a nubcake. I plan to buy really nice flip irons first, then save up for a decent optic later.

2020-05-18 23:49:25 UTC

I have a set of FAB defense tritium coming in soon, going to see how they work out.
