founding fathers were fucking BASED

2020-05-09 01:25:44 UTC

I’m not religious I just enjoy the discussion with level headed people

2020-05-09 01:25:48 UTC

except for the owning slaves part

2020-05-09 01:25:51 UTC

i dont like that part

2020-05-09 01:25:58 UTC

but other than that they were based as fuck

2020-05-09 01:26:08 UTC

2020-05-09 01:26:14 UTC

yes they did

2020-05-09 01:26:14 UTC

Not all were fans of slavery

2020-05-09 01:26:33 UTC

but they can be wrong about *that* and be right about everything else

2020-05-09 01:26:54 UTC

There were people who almost refused to sign the constitution because slavery wasn’t ended then

2020-05-09 01:26:56 UTC

Fisher Ames was right about stuff too

2020-05-09 01:27:10 UTC

The founders were a coalition of different people with different backgrounds and different beliefs

2020-05-09 01:27:23 UTC

The British could have tried to get them to argue religion and race and politics but nope

2020-05-09 01:27:30 UTC

It was burgertime

2020-05-09 01:27:40 UTC

@Bender I don’t think all the founders owned slaves, did they? That took money and enough land to justify the purchase. Maybe some of them did, but that’s just the way it was, this is one example of how tradition can be reprehensible.

2020-05-09 01:27:51 UTC

not all of them, but some did

2020-05-09 01:27:53 UTC

washington and jefferson to name a few

2020-05-09 01:28:14 UTC

Tradition is the democracy of the dead. They don't have to have the veto but they deserve a vote

2020-05-09 01:28:31 UTC

If tradition is oppressive you're a slave

2020-05-09 01:29:10 UTC

@Jon What do you mean, “peoples is a third rail”

2020-05-09 01:29:35 UTC

God in the Christian/ Jewish form . natures God, the presence of God, yes but they didnt want an established church or the smell of one so didnt mention a particular religions god.
Not to mention that most of them were deists and humanists

2020-05-09 01:29:44 UTC

I've been watching waco, I think we need to build a mt carmel lol

2020-05-09 01:30:15 UTC

What did I miss in command chat earlier? I was occupied, so I couldn't join.

2020-05-09 01:30:24 UTC

On a indian reservation

2020-05-09 01:30:27 UTC

It's pretty obvious what I mean to anyone seriously thinking about America After

2020-05-09 01:30:30 UTC

Anything important?

2020-05-09 01:30:42 UTC

Not everyone here can talk to everyone else

2020-05-09 01:31:08 UTC

@Bogs_Bunny big things coming. Stay tuned to your local channels.

2020-05-09 01:31:21 UTC

@Jon Idk what you meant though brother, so could you clarify Sir man dude chief? Lol

2020-05-09 01:31:56 UTC

I believe religion in its purest for is good. Not with bad intentions but real love, understanding, tolerance, and acceptance. Not the sick twisted shit that tends to overshadow it. It’s people led right after all. I just feel like it’s forced on people all to often

2020-05-09 01:31:58 UTC

I think that racial disagreements will be addressed the moment civil strife permits it. Opting out of that won't erase your skin color etc

2020-05-09 01:32:13 UTC

Like my father did to me ^^

2020-05-09 01:32:35 UTC

Outright force is easier to reject.

2020-05-09 01:32:57 UTC

It is but for me ruined the image

2020-05-09 01:33:04 UTC

What's really oppressive about religion is the subtle assumption that your moderate and normal viewpoint isn't worthy of questioning

2020-05-09 01:33:19 UTC

That gets more people stuck than anything else

2020-05-09 01:33:31 UTC

Tolerance and apathy are virtues of a dying society.

Point taken

2020-05-09 01:35:23 UTC

@Jon I completely agree. If SHTF and the rule of law disappears, people will group up with those who look like them. That may not be the case overall, but for the most part. I mean shit, look what happened during the the LA riots. Roof Koreans vs the blacks, black vs white, or whatever groups people formed based on ethnicity. I’d honestly like to see people move away from basing everything off of race but it’s pretty natural in most cases, good or bad.

2020-05-09 01:36:10 UTC

Good. I didn't wanna be the first one to say it because I only don't sunburn easy because I'm used to it now lol
